If youre going on a very slow speed, tendency is the fan will be activated due to the rising temperature. Especially when caught in a heavy traffic build up. This is normal for most of Japanese bikes. I supposed it goes the same for European models too. Else if it still makes u worry, u can always go to Dirtwheel and ask em. They do bring in KTM 950s. Hope this help. Cheerz!

hi tricked, i hope this didn't come too late. and hopefully by now, you'd have already known what i'm gonna tell you. the heat is normal. especially so for a v-engine. it's not over-heating, it just runs hotter than most other bikes. what you can do to ease the heat, although it would prolly be insignificant, is to replace the radiator fins to the perforated-aluminium variety, and install the carbon heat-deflectors (these don't come cheap). be sure to check the coolant level often. and remember this very very very important pointer: stick to the servicing religiously!!! every 4000km...MAX!!! i've done a bit of research before buying the 950, and if what most of them say is right, adhering to this golden rule will save you a whole lot of problems. the servicing manual only allows for a total of 3500km. but after that being said, this machine is a joy to ride. i wish you well and hope i've been of help to you.

950ADV over GSadv any day,

hamzah.
