nah not really, it is just typical of them. When u get the bike, be prepared to go north to get the spares.

Generally all Cl 2 are hot when caught in a jam but for the V it is very bearable. As for the foot rest you could feel any heat becos the heat mostly come the engine at the front Occasionally, at traffic junction, other bikers will ask you where the hell is the exhaust

for wear and tear stuff e.g like oil filter, airfilters, brake pads you can depend on Loois. all other stuff you can depend on our mutual friend. If you can, send me a PM when you are collecting yr V, I would like to kay poh ...kay poh..

haha.. yup, been getting weird stares from other bikers looking for my exhaust. heat wise, yeah the heat from the endcan is non exsistant at all, but the real pain is from the engine heat. when ur using berms or shorts, prepare to open ur legs wide when riding.

I sold mine 2mths ago,bike still at shop no problems with it.I itchy backside want to change bike.Location Ft Fast Track Kaki bukit ave 6 autobay .Bike is black in colour.

Just changed the coolant to maxima cool aide. Butt dyno feels bike seems smoother. Next up will be chain and sprokets. Mileage is approx 31000km liao.

Upz for Versys

 

I might not noe the TS, but 5 Versys were among the 11 bikes that hv made it to the grueling 18,000KM Kuala Lumpur to Saudi Arabia early this month. Two of those made it all the way without the need of support truck (coincidently both were green in color ) while two more do piggy bag on the truck due to accident and one fails due engine oil was running low during the last 900KM towards the end of the xpedition (owner's carelessness). The rest of the bikes were BMW (even two of the BMW need the truck's help as well ) and one Africa Twin (me).

 

So in short, the bike (Versys) is a very reliable bike. If u can't get the parts here (unlike as ezy as the Hondas), there are plenty in Malaysia.

Thanks for the ride report link, but personally I think the site is a little bit lopsided, ie it is more towards BMW's & very minimum (infect is none) of the sole Singaporean RIDE picture, other than my makan & my breakdown bike pix well ...
