Very sweet !!! Thank you for sharing :thumb: :thumb:

Seems like a lot of you guys are going for the SW Motech crash bars, is it because they are the only ones available in SG ? Or is it because they are the ones that fit best the Versys ?

For AGV you can head to Regina at Kelantan Lane.

For Shoei can head to Chong Aik at Desker Road.

Both are near to each other.

Just a piece of advise though, do set a budget in your mind and do some research regarding the price especially for AGV. Regina will quote you a price and it will be your responsibility to haggle and bargain with the salesperson. Goods are good quality but service and pricing tends to vary.

Not so much at Chong Aik though. Happy shopping!

Thanks,

seriously i have no idea about prices in singapore. The prices in malaysia is crazy and i was told that i could get better deals in Singapore.

Am looking for AGV Stealth SV size M for wife (around RM1.2k = SGD$498) and Shoei X11 size L for myself (around RM1.6k = SGD$664.00) plus i have to factor in the cost of travelling down from KL, i have to get both helmets for less than SGD$800 in order to make my journey worthwhile... lolz.

It ended up being a aesthetic choice for me. Im sure the H&B and Givi crashbars are equally good just not as good looking IMO.. ;)

So.. anybody going for this Malaysia Meet-Up?

I got no facebook lah so need you fellas to update.

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing

I don't have a Versys yet so not me, hopefully next year :)

How can you guys tell a versys has ABS just by looking at its pic? Is there something different about the calipers?

with rough eyes, there's a sticker indicating "ABS" on the mudguards sides.

but with proper scrutiny, there are sensors for ABS at the front wheel discs

which way you went? Highway all the way and then went up through Simpang Pulai?

I went up by Tapah, that road was really treacherous man. There were so many pot holes and road was so narrow. I did a wide cornering and almost end in the drain.Came down by Gua Musa, the corner was nice and very scenic. I don't I tried Sugai Koyan.

Anyway the Vx is very stable at 160km/h on the NSHW. I had my throttle at 160km/h with only my left hand on the handle. The handle bar was stable through. When the Vx hit 6k rpm, the vibration on the handle bar were gone.

When I was on the trunk road route 8, there were sand and uneven surface the Vx handle it well. There was one section of the road, my Vx leap off the road because we went over a tree root. It landed with only one single bounce with all shock absorbed. The engine was really hardy, when ever i need the torque I drop gear and the engine handle the stress well. After the ride no abnormal noise. I am really impress by the performance of this bike.

This is me and my Vx.

Thanks Andrew for the ABS answer, saw the sticker :)

Nice ride Fusion, cool photos! Where's the riding jacket though? :p

If it's not too much trouble can you map your route on google map and post the pic or give more details, I'm curious about the bad road you took.

Every single ride report/review about the Versys seem to confirm it's really a solid all around bike that can perform in pretty much any situation ! :thumb: (maybe except sand, but that requires mostly riding technique & skills more than the right bike).

I took off the Jacket at the last section of Tapah. I will upload the map tonight.

I agree with you on the skill of handling. The Vx is just a work horse end of the day is still base on how much the rider can squeeze out of the horse. I can only ride on straight road when it comes to corner, everyone over took me.
