Juz went to qway..Was browsing thru the boots there..All ranging frm 70+ to 150+, pretty ex sia...Any recommendations for which brand of boots to get?

added you in msn bro, get either adidas or nike.Tried both before for field boots and court boots.Would advise you to get the former because sewing s better, ball control(what i feel) and accuracy(proven, dunno why ronaldinho still so good with nike ). Nike tend to spoil easily(proven) because its glued though good as its light weight.

 

Both of the brands allowed me to kill keepers.Most of the time I use Adidas Predator so yea.

i just bought nike boots. athough they tear easily(especially the front part)

i totally can't wear Adidas boots, don't suit asian's feet i supose. or MINE at least

 

oh ya james, if you just wan ANy boots. there are some priced $35. rather cheap. but as long can kick can already la. bet they'll last longer than Nike. =)

for field, I'm using a white nike pair now..spoke to james online..he signed out already..bugger going to get boots on thursday only cuz of pay day lol..somehow I like adidas over nike because of the front

 

pros and cons

adidas front flat so good for me, nike front fat and snub so good to TONJOL

adidas recently changed its boots' material to those lousy kinda(looking nice nia) but lousy grip to me so on par wit nike now.Previous Predator was using leather so its real good I say.

stitching needless to say its adidas beating nike..

me, i NEVER wear adidas shoes or boots. but you see the one i'm wearing for street soccer. i feel uncomfortable all over. i got it 'somewhere' for free.

 

never tried adidas boots before. because my foot is not long, and adidas boots are like long-ish

 

so far, i've worn,

nike mercurial vapour - heartpain, because the front tears easily, even though it's light weight and makes you run slightly fast. it kinna hurts when someone steps on you, coz of the thin material

 

Nike Tiempo legend - quite comfortable with it, suitable for passing around and striking the ball. but Still, the glue is just not strong enough to tahan miskick. LOL, if you kick the ground or something. tat's it.

 

Tried to sew nike boots, but it'll tear again, so no point

 

then came lotto(Sheva)- wore it for 2 years before starting to feel hungry(open mouth) lightweight, good contact with the ball, but if kena step, will feel pain. but this boot no longer selling, tried to find last week.

 

currently total 90 - tested out the boots today. comfortable all over. good contact when shooting. but afraid tat it'll tear if i just take i wrong kick into the ground.

 

i'm quite bias towards NIKE. don't really like adidas. =) Can't compare between nike and adidas. but i'll say nike is NOT a DURABLE pair of boots. if you want something durable, get something like lotto or diadora.

hah I wore total 90 before..not bad, just that bottom of the shoe got too hungry and talked to me..adidas st soccer shoes most of the time no problem..only wore them till they wear out below..meaning bottom rubber sole worn.

if you've ankle injury, don't bother borrowing those.Go get your own, after all you may have to wear it for some time and who knows you may need it in future..wear it always to speed up injury and prevent upcoming ones.

Ive never been a fan of Adidas. They dont encourage the tarsal bending movements used especially while sprinting, if u know what i mean. I'm a big fan of Nike... As for boots talking, you guys can easily terminate the incompetent-glue problems by sending it to a good cobbler for some good old-fashioned sutures before use.

 

But IMO the best is Lotto, the super soft green and black. Damn lovely.
