Actually the RE is not really a class 2A or 2 bike, although CC wise it is, but powerwise it is more or less like a phantom, just that you need to manage the weight of the bike, sad that this bike cannot make it to 2B.

hi RE fellows,

 

had a slight mishap last night with my cub, and had to get it towed this morning. guess it was fated for me to somehow get hold of universal's contact for my tire replacement. the first thing i saw when i was there, not my cub, but the classic 500 - damn it was mesmerising!! it was an old love affair, at first sight again! always a sucker for antique-looking bike, but reality somehow made me stick to my little cub for the last few years (extremely convenient for me to mount any kerb, park all around, scoot with ease, etc.; and of course while im nursing my 2yo slipdisc injury, and having to sell my then good-old R1100R).

 

anw, i have always wanted to own an RE since, and had wanted to view one more than half a yr ago. but guess somehow it was not the right time yet then :-).

 

and so i was there at universal a while ago, zapping myself between the REs, and laying my hands on them. it really felt good, not to mention the good old carbs musical as i squeeze the throttle. man thats it, and im going to get one for myself, consider that as my own belated present!

 

i was just looking around, and being a space junkie, the only apparent problem that im going to face will be space (my cub has like 2 baskets and topbox, and i can still try to squeeze an elephant in it!) so apart from the reli cool side boxes which im seeing on existing model, i have yet to see anyone putting topboxes!? is there any RE riders out there currently embarking on topbox project? do share ya?

i'm do not own RE...but my opinion is putting a topbox on it will b funny. it sure wont look nice. not sure wat others think though...

Thanks for the reply dude!! But yea.. David told me that communication with the indian side is a problem.. I quote him: "We ask for apples, they gave us oranges." lol.. I'll check with him again but in the meantime would like to know if there are nice saddlebags that fit the battle green as i have heard that the boxes rattle a lot which is probably noisy and annoying.
