Marco, heard the new 500 is going at 12K ++. Good reviews so far. A load smoother than the older version (which is very suitable for you and your vibes issues on RE or Harley... yes i heard erhmm... ;)

Bleu, RE holds it's market value quite well especially when it's a "NEW" vintage as compared to the older vintage bikes. Parts are readily available and yes, if you take good care of your steed it'll last you for some time. Definitely a sought after rarity in time to come (due to the fact that there's about 30 max of them on the road - the older models that is).

Pm me if you want to get your RE checked from a reliable motorshop.

SPchoo, the new RE's run EFI. So not so classic after all IMO. It's just the styling that they are after. Personally, vintage rides for me should be solid chunks of metal, kick start only and extremely raw. Get your hands on an old world war 2 RE and you'll know what I mean.

Am interested to get the jade green Classic 500.. but why izzit so ex? Websites in India indicates that a brand new EFI Classic 500 costs only about S$3k+!!! :sian:

last time I checked with the shop (in person) they didn't have any 350s and didn't know if they would be getting any more in. Their website only lists the Classic 500 as RE models they sell. Would be interested in a second hand 350, if anyone is selling.

Anybody can advise me pls?

Do I need to off the fuel switch when I park my Royal Enfield 500 overnight?

There was 1 incident where I found petrol on the floor when I want to start my bike, and I really got trouble to start the bike.

Thanks! the reason I did not off the petcock is because, the mech say there no need to. anyway, I will keep monitoring.

anyone purchase the new 350cc classic? 2011 carb model, with electric start and kick start?

bro, the 350 classic would be a good choice. kick start (damn classic and stylo), e-start (for convenience) and carb for that all fav (thumping sound!).... i say go for it! what's taking u so long? hehe

anyways, those who ride an RE can find us here - http://royalenfieldsingapore.com

on a personal note, i have loads of spares from used rear shocks, mudguards, front fork, wheel sets, spring seats, etc for your RE or custom project. Call me 9879onethousand or checkout the website for further details! :)

Bro, it's definitely not the cable. Check for abrasions and rubbing against your instruments and parts.

I suspected that too.. I guess the mechanic did not fix it well... Fyi, he took 1 hr to fix the clutch cable.. well wat to do... there only 1 workshop in sg...
