Honda Magna 750 (VF 750)

Hi, any have experience with this bike:

I saw it once, kinda like it over the usual Steed/Shadow/Harley alternatives. Because of it's 90 V4, 4 exhaust and phantom-alike riding and ground clearance. Mainly because it really look like a bigger Phantom, hence considering this for upgrade.

Tks! Comment appreciated.

hi,

Tks for the info! Didn't know it's a VFR engine!

Can comment on ground clearance, consumption, and pain-in-the-arse problem, if any? Since you already touched on power.

Chain drive? I rather have that for the oomph! Scott oiler solve all the trouble.

BUt it's kinda rare...will keep my eyes peeled for them..

Dont need scott oiler.

chain drive is perfectly fine, look at all the sports bikes, they are chain driven arent they? heh

I rode it for about 3 years, absolutely no problem. just change engine oil and oil filter , airfilter.

Ground clearance better than steed , shadow etc...

consumption a little higher but I recalled it was 16km per liter - mixed riding.

Here's the specs from the website. Everything looks good. It has good acceleration, even compared to the 1000cc+ cruisers. And it's relatively "light", which is good for me....except for the brakes! I think Phantom has better brakes...

HONDA MAGNA

MSRP: $7499

Wet weight: 539 lbs.

Wheelbase: 65.0 in.

Seat height: 28.0

Engine type: Liquid-cooled 45-degree V-4

Valve arrangement: DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder

Displacement: 748cc

Carburetion: 4, 34mm CV

Final Drive: Chain

Rake/trail: 32 degrees/5.2 in.

Front tire: 120/80-17

Rear tire: 150/80-17

Front brake: 1-piston caliper, 12.4-in. disc

Rear brake: Single-leading-shoe drum

200-yard top-gear acceleration from 50 mph, terminal speed: 73.0 mph

Quarter-mile acceleration: 12.71 sec., 102.9 mph

Wonder if I can change the brakes....

Loois...ok will pay them a visit tomorrow perhaps. I"m slowly looking, cos it's my cl2 upgrade and that's 10 mths later or something. Just hope it doesn't get too rare.
