collected my bike this morning, everything was fine but i got some weird question...

 

I pumped a full tank around 10L after i got the bike, the fuel gauge meter actually went over the Full line... Is this normal?

 

Somemore the fuel meter still shows i at the Full line after riding for 200km... use so little petrol? i very confused with this meter... sorry newbie here...

 

Also i check on OneMotoring and they state my roadtax only 1/2 year.. i tot when buying new bike the shop help u get 1 year?

but until now quite satisfied with my bike... only thing is it is quite heavy for me, me just a 168cm guy.. haha

 

So the engine kinda vibrate alot when at 70km/h, hope it will get better after my first oil change at around 500km...

 

Btw my boon siew warranty card wrote No free servicing even when the first 3 servicing has a *free servicing* word printed on it... means i have to pay for the servicing + oil if i go boon siew to change even when i under warranty?

there is supposed to be free servicing, Bike production is giving 2 years warranty under their new promotion. Your first try to go to Boon Siew to record your warranty and make sure you get the 2 years that was promised.

its all about technique, after a week or less, the bike will feel as easy to handle as a bicycle, try to use the mainstand, cos the side stand not so great.

 

70 km/h is a little too fast for a new bike, if you are feeling the vibration, then you're too fast. This bike surprisingly does not vibrate much.

Remember, the running in period is very critical for a new bike. below 60km/h should be just nice. I understand the excitement and all, but patience my friend. Got to walk before you can run.

 

Just bear with the speed for abt 1000 to 2000 kms to ensure a few years of trouble free riding.

was much faster. By the time i clear msian checkpoint, i head straight for d

first Shell. bot a bottle of lemon tea, finished it and still didnt c anyone else turn up.

 

anyway, i saw d que is long for d wash, went to the next wash shop also same thing. Then i dunno whr u guys mite head next, cos thr are various places for bike wash in JB. So i turned left and went in. Waited again, still no sign, i proceeded w d wash. Then i thot, dats it, all split liao.

 

So i headed back sg. when i reached home i smsed biposto, he said he just finished washing.

No worries, would have done the same thing.

I think in future, we will all head for 786 for wash as the Shell turned me down a few times recently saying that enough staff. being going to them for a few months now.

 

In future, FightHawkz Flight agenda will be:

 

1. Meetup at Mandai

2. Move off

3. Clear customs and head for 786 wash

4. Meet and chat there

5. Oh, don't forget the lemon tea (i'm a lemon tea drinker too, hate fizzy drinks)

 

Punctually, very important guys, it is something that will break up a group. Some riders, even for me would like to do a fast game of pump and wash. Some might not like the idea of a 3 to 4 hrs event for pump and wash. So in future, let's try to meet on time.

Also, need to go and change my passport to the Biometric type, seems to clear the lanes faster, only thing I don't like is that the passport no and IC no. will differ for the new biometric version.

Apologises, if the above doesn't sound good, I think most of us are matured enough to comprehend.

Emi, exams are important. You can join us for a breather, I think if we keep the outing short and simple, it will be fine. You don't need to follow us if some of us want to do something with our bikes at the workshop. You can always move off earlier after the pump and wash.

 

Don't feel obligated, take it from someone who never concentrated in studies in my younger days. During my NS, I did my Diploma in Computer studies while others were busy chasing girlfriends on the weekend. I did my Diploma in Supply Chain Mgt (career path change) when I was working at the age of 30. Trust me, its tough to work and study, it gets worse if you are married and have kids. At 38, in the middle of my Degree programme. When you are young, its easy to absorb things, its even better when you have a passion for what you do, it will overcome all hurdles.

 

You should know by now, paper qualification is very critical in Singapore. Be proud of yourself with these achievements and make your parents proud. Down the road. good things will look for you without you having to look for them (even girls). Don't do because you have to do but because YOU WANT TO DO!
