HI Everyone,

JUst got CBF150 last weekend. was thinking if i can enhance the rear suspension or can fix additional suspension on the rear.

Hope anyone can advise.

thanks.

UNfortunately, there is no way to add an extra suspension for any bike. There are no aftermarket rear shocks available for CBF in SG. Is your CBF 2nd hand? Try to meet our boys, may they can help to diagnose before you get chopped by some shop. If you are in the west area, you can drop by my place.

Maybe you can check a few pages back to find the link? Coz I joined a few days back using that link and I'm already part of the group. I think the group name is 'CBF 150 Fighthawkz'. Can't check now coz they banned facebook at my workplace.

Anyone knows if I can change the rear brake lines to HEL also? Coz Unique told me that only the front brake line can be changed.

Your rear is drum brake, there is no way to change. Unless you modify the whole rear wheel to accept a disc brake.

My mods were done by one mechanic at one place. He did tell me that he will do only once for me.

He might do it again for someone i know or regard as a good friend.

He shares the same philosophy as me,

In the end,

there can only be one!

I can recommend if you make an effort to meet up.

Well CBF150 is a heavy bike compared to spark as it is alr 140kg on dry weight. This means that ur leg have to be strong when u do reversing or when pushing ur bike or when a pillion is mounting ur bike... But heavy also means its more stable when cruising on high speed on highways. So far i only have problem with the weight during the initial stage, after around 2-3 weeks later, i get totally used to the weight alr...

Also CBF150 has a very gd FC and if u don like keep going to petrol station to top up den u can consider cbf150 as it is a 13L fuel tank compared to spark's 3L?

CBF150 certainly fulfills ur criteria on FC, servicing cheap (coz 4 stroke) and easy. comfortable riding...

Btw the speed meter alr have a gear indicator so u don need to mod anything to it...

And lastly u don have to spam ur post, if there is anything u need to add on just edit ur post...

Comparing spark and CBF, i'd take CBF because i travel long distances daily (Tampines to Jurong Island) for work. Consumption I think is about the same for both but the CBF have a bigger fuel tank so your petrol top-up interval is bigger since the spark has a small tank. Weight-wise, of course CBF is heavier but since you're new, you'll be more used to CBF as there's a fuel tank for you to grip. Spark got no tank to grip. The CBF stock meter already have the gear indicator. Meaning if you're in gear 1 to 5, it'll be stated on the meter. Neutral also will be indicated.

To me it looks nice. It has a '2A' bike look because it's big. Bigger than most other 2B bikes. It's like a mini FZ6S/FZ1S. Pulsar is good, consumption-wise but what i don't like about it is that spare parts are located at their exclusive dealer, in Bukit Merah. And I'm sure you have heard of what they say about shops there. (I'm not saying that ALL the shops there are like that though.) Spark will definitely have more aftermarket parts compared to the CBF as there's plenty of youngsters out there riding and modifying it. If there's demand, there's sure to be supply. For CBF, there's not much demand for aftermarket parts (as all the youngsters think it's an ah pek bike, and ah peks don't modify their bikes) so manufacturers don't bother supplying it.
