at least 70 for stainless steel brake line.

you're right, the line that we're changing will cost abt $80 with installation.

any price?

I am changing hose at my 10000km servicing. I think that will be in 3-4mths time. U guys changinging to Hel or Venhill brakeline @ UM issit??

We will be changing to a brand called SPIEGLER, you can refer to their website. Several local racers have installed these lines and they say that it is very good, reputed to be as good as HEL or Venhill if not better. Come on guys, why install something that every body has. I assure you the upgrade is worth it. If you, can spent a little more, you can get your brakes overhauled at the same time.

i'm actually more interested in the handguard like biposto's.. but I want a higher quality one, made of metal or sth

Acerbis is a good brand, believe me, I have been to quite a number of suppliers. The alloy or SS versions can not be mounted on our handles. They are meant bar with a low rise like the off road bikes, ours is a high riser handle bar.

Spoken to 2 metal fabricators and they also say that there is limitation to what they can do. Clarke (PMW) has a version that he installed on his KSR that would fit our bikes, but we would need to give up the balancers at the end of the handle bars. It depends on the individual, sometimes some modifications makes the bike look like it is having an identity crisis.

Will it solve squeeking problems with my current stock brakes? Also, Acerbies hand guards are made of plastic? A little identity crisis wouldn't hurt. I've seen some sports bike that's been moulded into another model altogether.

Your sqeaking is from the front or back brakes? generally the front seldom squeaks, unless you got a rat stuck there. As for the brake lines to solve your squeakig problem, I doubt so. Handguards, you're on our own. The problem with our model is the mounting.

i know the stock tyres is not grippy at all...

Bro,tyres r really alot to recommend u. Some of us change to a better threaded tyres for better grip. Do change to MICHELIN,DUNLOP or BRIDGESTONE. These 3 brands CBF riderz truly trust.

Any way squeak or no squeak, it is an upgrade worth doing. I didn't think twice. Generally, squeaking is caused by buildup of brake dust in the calipers.

Probably your problem was settled because while changing your cable, your mechanic, did a general servicing of your calipers. That's the sign of a good mechanic. You should recommend the mechanic that you go to.

Hey pika, do you know any other options for brake pads other than the standard or WP pads?:)

Nobody interested? more people maybe can get discount

Dear Fellow CBF Riders,

Changing the brake hose is more of an upgrade than something you change regularly. The hose will be an aftermarket upgrade, it will need to be customised for our bikes as you know, we don't have much choices for aftermarket parts.

Merboy and me have decided to change ours. The hose would be steel braided and would definitely give you more braking power.

This would be a recommended and sensible upgrade. Steel Braided hose are known to perform better under the intense pressure of braking.

So guys, what do you say? 2 is confirmed, how about the rest of you guys.

bro, which bike shop is good for our bike??

Boon siew. If you think abt it, they see CBF 150 at least 5 times a day, if there shd be anyone familiar with the works of our bike, it's them.

that's just me though I know others (esp merboy) wld disagree!

Eh ride normally and there shd be nothing wrong with the stock tyres at all. Shd feel exactly like school bike. We changed tyres because we sometimes do stunt, but more so for safety especially during wet weather.
