could be, just bare machine only

coe is flutuating, insurance is 1 killer

IU is $150, registeration fee, no idea, road tax quite minimal.

all in could easily reach 2k or so

so total OTR could be well at 6.2k...

*edit* forget to add in GST!!

Hmmm, according to his quotes...machine + IU+ Noplate + gst + arf + reg fee + road tax = 4.2K...

4.2K + 1K(COE) + insuance like.. 1900 for TPFT = $7.1K otr...

basket.. 7.1K like damn high compared to bro's bike of 5K.. probably due to insurance bah...

Hi I got my CBF 150 3 days ago. Today (Apr 20) touching 286 km on the Odometer. I'll try to do 500 km within this week to complete the engine brake-in and hopefully the Duro waxy shiney surfaces are properly worn away (I'm thinking of burning a doughnut to fully condition the back tyre) :). I dare not to lean on corners as much as I would, I worry the Duro will give way at the back. I hope 500 km onwards I can do some real riding to discover the bike more.

So far my ride is more than satisfactory except for the following few things:

  1. When I drop gear from 3rd to 2nd at traffic light, there's a sickening sound from the gearbox - click, click, click. I read a few very earlier posts detailing this same problem.
  2. Gear Lever or its cable is not fully lubricated I think, as when depress and release, it feels like there's some resistance as compare to my school's CG125.
  3. Factory engine idle is on the low side. I need to rev more to prevent stalling. I'm not thinking of adjusting the idle speed by agakrism as I don't wan't to go over 1,400 rpm too much. If I've a Tachometer, I'll set it to 1,500 rpm, still within the fac spec.

just a word of advise, get rid of the factory engine oil as soon as possible. I had my engine oil change as early as 200 km, ws surprised and confused with the old oil from the engine, looked like the oil that my mum used for frying fish, it was so watery. small price to pay for a piece of mind ride in the long term.

the click click sound comes between the 3rd and 2nd gear

just kick it down firmly and postiviely and u shouldnt hear it anymore

normally, i set my idle by hearing the engine

morning when cold, if i can start the bike and idle can hold

i will leave it there, becoz when it get heats up, the idle will defintely hold and wouldnt stall

so dun worry too much about how much rpm, a well jetted bike can idle at very low rpm and very responsive.

hope this helps. :thumb:
