Anyone experienced your bike produce loud ticking sound when riding in the rain ?

Its more noticeable when you throttle/rev , or clutching in.

 

But bike is normal during normal weather. Only happens when its wet.

Those are the valves talking to each other. Surf for more information in the US R6 boards. OR google Yamaha Tick. It will explain everything.

Lots of shops have available side mirrors; try unique motors for starters.

Went for inspection on saturday, and the Vicom inspector said r6 pilot lights were not allowed. Initial reaction was WTF because it comes like that from factory.

 

ZZ.

 

Thank you Singapore for having such anal-retentive rules.

by d way,can any1 advise if it is "ok" to bring up my rpm timing slightly higher to about 1.5 for normal riding to n fro wrk? i am using aftermarket exhaust.when its higher,exhaust sounds more nicer n "garang".LOL.but i notice temp rise slightly higher n faster than usual wen i do tat.

i just change my plug to stock yamaha ones,just to experiment.can really feel d difference.it has slight power loss.just bought a set of "lightly" used ngk iridium from d forum,cant wait to install it.

my r6 03 mileage is 230km b4 reserve.is tat norm?

 

i get about 240km on hard riding on my 08 r6 with aftermarket endcan. Never tried riding economically with the bike because the bike will start having mood swings.
