Wow sat quite a few ppl going but i cannot confirm coz i got medical cover. Haiz. I will confirm again by Sat.

 

To iamapeanut! I think u settle ur bike 'internal' part first coz its nearing end of April. Hehe. Later scared no time to go workshop for repair. I think u can go Joon Seng or other bike shops to settle the problems u are having with ur RXK. Tell the uncle what problem u face he will know what to do. That time i went i told him my bike was jerky, he test engine abit then straight open and clear the exhaust. After that settled! Problem solved till now. If u want to install mirrors, change brake pads and rear brake pads also can. Up to u sis! Haha.

Just becoz some of us here forget and type in their mother tongue, u dun need to open ur Microsoft words and type in Mandarin then cut and paste here rite. Mly is a language that uses English Alphabet and its convenience tat pple tend to just type out in Mly. Patience is a virute. I apologise on behalf of my fren. Maybe some of us here not so use to speaking English to our Mly frens, so it takes time to get used to it. Bear ... the first time you use the black scrambler handle on a RXK when your RXK was green... wat handle was it?

Bros. While riding today, I noticed a few problems.

 

1) While riding, the petrol and 2T (I use premix) can leak out. I know maybe I shouldn't fill the tank too full, but is there anything i can do like some rubber thingy to put around the side so it prevents it from leaking?

 

2) While riding, my front disc brake keeps squeaking. I asked the mech and he said it'll be okay in about 1-2 weeks cause now the disc brake is just changed one, so no choice. Sounds a bit.. Stupid to me? Is there anything I can do?

 

3) The needle in my speedo for the speed isn't working! When he checked it for me, it was okay. But halfway whilst riding I realised the needle wasn't moving again. Damn annoying.

 

4) Both front and rear signal lights aren't working! I know the mech should know how to fix this, but what can I look out for so I can ensure it'll work?

 

I think that's about it for now. Cause I just got my bike, there are many things I have yet to discover. I stalled while moving off about 3-4 times while riding for about 5km back home today. Quite embarrassing, but thankfully nothing happened. Please help me bros, I was quite disappointed with my riding experience today!

anyway i dropped by united n chia heng (again) today and sadly both no more retro/cafe speedometers for rxk. i did, however, get my round signal lights from united at 3 bucks a piece. i also got a plain white pro helmet from bendemeer rd blk 47; put pink visor damn power la! haha.

Bros. While riding today, I noticed a few problems.

 

1) While riding, the petrol and 2T (I use premix) can leak out. I know maybe I shouldn't fill the tank too full, but is there anything i can do like some rubber thingy to put around the side so it prevents it from leaking?

 

change new fuel cap.sooner or later the problem will come again

 

2) While riding, my front disc brake keeps squeaking. I asked the mech and he said it'll be okay in about 1-2 weeks cause now the disc brake is just changed one, so no choice. Sounds a bit.. Stupid to me? Is there anything I can do?

 

new brake pad need to run in.about 2 week and it be gone.

will have sound if dust in trap in,this is common.just use compress air to spary the dust out at workshop

meter cable or meter need replacement.wear and tear.

Thanks Tony! I will ask my mech to make my idling a bit higher and the biting point closer. A bit scary cause this bike quite old. I scared have problems, must really take care.

 

Anyway one more thing. The thing about the front brake disc is not really squeaking? There's a squeaking sceeching sound. Like the front disc is scraping against something. I'm afraid the part will wear out, whichever part that is that is being scrapped by the disc. And somemore the explanation the mech give me sounds a bit lame. My father heard the sound also ask me what's that, better go check.

4) Both front and rear signal lights aren't working! I know the mech should know how to fix this, but what can I look out for so I can ensure it'll work? try changing the signal relays. if doesn't work prolly the wiring has gone haywired( though there are still other possibilities

I think acap got it for $30. At scrapyard. Maybe gasket 'pecah' liao or rubber thingy got hardened. But ur tank so nice. Any idea which part exactly the leaking is.

 

BTW, i try to e-mail tat guy and ask for quotation regarding the white wall.

if you buy a new tank must get the same fuel c o c k.thread is always different.

if leak from the c o c k add a rubber washer.

did you tighten the c o c k?
