Hey Rx peeps. I need to enquire certain things about RXZ. My friend rode an RXZ and when he throttle to RPM 4-5 at any gear, the RPM will go down/ die down despite maintaining the throttle there.

Any solution for this? I tried the idle setting and there seems to be no change despite setting it higher. Also, just wanna ask, his RXZ FQ plate... the petrol must include 2t?

Sorry for this long post. RXZ newbie here. =)

Hi :)

RXZ is also kind of RX... same family na :)

Anyway that "5k RPM" problem most RXZ got it, i have two RXZ and both do that, too. Tried different pipes (3BS original and after-market, Lemang, chamber) and still the same, tried different carbs and jetting, still the same.

Maybe on RXZ "that's not a bug, that's a feature" :)

RXZ normally got autolube, i.e. 2T pump. 2T goes into an extra tank under the seat. Some folks disable the 2T pump and run pre-mix (2T goes into the main tank together with the petrol). Check your RXZ if the 2T pump is there (small cover on front of right engine side) and if it's working (small hose goes to carb from there, take it off the carb, run the engine (idle only!!) and see if 2T comes out of that hose. If yes, all ok. Run the engine only very short time with that hose disconnected.

Best regards.....

Thanh

I don't know anything about the rx series bikes though i've had experience tuning 2 stroke motors. I'm interested to know are the rxz cylinders interchangeable with the rxk? Can i just take a rxz cylinder, do some transfer port matching and fit it on the rxk casings?

Thanks in advance,

J

i dont agree about the 5k thingy.. that's suppose to be called bogging..

with proper amount of fuel fed into the engine, bogging can be reduced.

Methods?

change your reed valves to betters one to help the fuel flowing through the reeds more precise.

Hi.

Been there, done that, too (changed reeds) and it, too, didn't bring any change in engine characteristics.

My method? If i hit the "sticky rpm" in fifth or sixth gear and the bike doesn't want to go further i simply drop two gears and whack it a little :) Once i hit 5,500 rpm it pulls further on it's own again, all the way to 12,000 if need be in sixth gear.

Best regards.....

Hi :)

Thar requires a little modification...... and you need to spend a liitle money.

First, acquire one standard Rocketdyne RS-24 (ask NASA - they use them as main engines for their Space Shuttle, maybe they'll sell you a spare they have lying around).

Strap it to your K, using cable ties or scotch tape.

Make available regular liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, you need about 1,300 liters for every second you run the engine. However half a second should be sufficient to reach 220+ km/h.

Good luck! Don't forget a breaking parachute.

Kind regards......
