I see... When I first bought my bike also spark plug loose! Can use hand to screw out man! The rpm was erratic and difficult to start. Never try high speed so never thought that would be your problem.

 

The steering cone bearing? I changed original one I think 30 or 40 bucks. Not very sure cos changed together with my tyres.

Hmmm... I got my handle at the Jalan Besar Ah Pek shop, was the last one of that design. Grips not many choices too.

 

You try the shops around Regina area... should have nice designs.

grips ah? me not too sure but i got mine, from chong aik.

not many range there either. but u can try the accessories shop near ah boy, i think they have quite a few.

 

wide handle bar? they look good, but most wide bars come from scramblers. i dont think they come cheap tho.

no offence but im not really fond of wide handles, cus its hard to selit.

i am using playlife grips...

think they are just nice and comfortable...

cheap somemore.

ya may want to consider LC bars...

 

slightly wider than da original bars of K's...

 

i'm usin wide bars now, it's more of personal preferance than da look good kinda thingy...

 

with wide bars it's easier to flick da bike esp if ya a frontal rider, i am one.

 

when it comes to lane splittin, gotta watch da car's mirrors but of cuz, that depends on where ya look, so far, i've got no issues with da mirrors, juz gotta be more careful while lane splitting...

as for grips, da cheap ones are good enough...pointless to spend that much on grips...

 

can head down to chong aik as chomster mentioned...

 

they've got a wide range of GPR grips that cost bout 5-8

 

da one i'm usin is da copy of those BMW grips, very comfortable and grip is excellent.

hey. i'm new to this thread. will be getting my rxs 115 soon. just have to change ownership. will be asking lots of question or i just read up the previous posts. so will be joining the gang soon. currently riding gilera so the rxs will be my sidebike since the maintainence is not that high... cheers!

 

and also. i need a new carb for my rxs. anyone know where to get it and how much?

hi, welcome, nice meeting you.

umm you should try the bike shop at jalan besar, its got alot of accessories, u can recognise it by that. its near a POSB.

but just a word of advise, carbs dont come really cheap.

i dont really mind bout the price cos this bike is given to me. so cant expect gd things to happen from it. and also. the carb got stolen. thats why i need a new one. besides stock carb, what other carb does it have?

got turn down... why ah..? if i can recall... but not sure if they are sold yet anot...

got 1 or 2 selling rxks quite cheap in garage but condition wise... seem like got to do up la...

umm, CG ah, dunno if can find anot in the first place hehe, very hard loh. unless u willing to put paper and your number on those ah peks' ice cream carts.

 

i think Singtel still using Cgs to do their services island-wide, i seen them on the road, so maybe you can ask them if theyre willing to let go of theirs for a cheaper price, after all.

You know, i Don't really know..

the mech showed me a carb but its not a K carb, i don't remember what carb it was.

 

 

 

 

i advise you to go and get the stock K carb cus it's got good pick-up.

some Z owners switch their Z carbs for a K carb cus of this.

 

just my $0.00002 cents worth.

Its rare nowadays to see vintage bikes ... my uncle gonna give a scrap metal soon .. RXK. and i plan to "make over" it when i got the bike oready ... haha..

i've heard rumours abt rxk carb being stolen and now we have a true case here... damn those thieves!~..

 

do take note rxs carb and rxk carb are different...
