I did my transfer at a motordiam and have begin riding the bike since 4 days ago. But I do not have any log card and LTA haven't send me any letter.

 

I'm wondering when can I get the letter of ownership since I will need it to renew my road tax. Road tax ending this month!!!

 

Also, i read that you can check a plate no. details (it's owners etc) by going to LTA website. Can any kind soul pls tell me the specific link? I cant find the link even after days of searching in ONEmotoring.

Do you have your personal Singpass number in the first place?

 

If yes, click on the "LTA e-Services using SingPass" near the top left hand side from the ONEmotoring website below:

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

 

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

Yes... You're rite... No longer in use..

Hey thanks a lot, i'm finally able to see my online "log card".:)

 

Btw, do i need to book for inspection? Or do i just go the centre and get it inspected? (sry about these questions as i've only began riding 5 days ago =x)

Try asking your bike shop for the Inspection Notice from LTA. Else I guess you can just drop by any of the inspection centres...

after tansfer, will LTA sent u a letter to inform u if ur transfer of ownership is done? (in this case im selling of my bike) i mean a black and white edvidence jus for a reference.

Today was a very irritating day over the phone for me..

I called up my insurance co and the guy told me that they can't cancel my insurance coz I did not give them the notice from LTA stating the date which I am no longer the owner of my ex bike..

So I checked online at Onemotoring and was shocked to see that the current ownership transfer date was 20/06/2007!! Which is TODAY!!

I traded in my bike on the 26/05/2007 leh!! My insurance policy stand to lose out about nearly a month's premium (which amounts to a few hundred dollars as I'm riding a 600cc bike)

And the best part is my ex bike had been ridden by the new owner for a week oredy!!

I called up motortiam and was told by them that they just did the transfer today!! Wah I KPKB and I hung up the phone..

Called up my insurance co and luckily he was a kind soul and he told me to fax over the receipt that states my ex bike that I traded in to a new bike which must include the date (26/05/2007)

And now waiting for my refund..

So guys next time when you traded in your bike pls pls check with LTA or check online whether you are still the registered owner of the bike..

A lot of things can happen if the bike is being ridden by the new owner when you are still the registered owner..

This is why i'm very afraid to let motordiams do transfer for me last time. Not only do they charge admin fees, they are very inefficient!!

 

However not all motordiams are like that =]
