Hmm...

Got a query here.

For those past & present Bitubo Steering mount damper users, do you encounter problem when full lock to the right, whereby the damper to steering bracket will hit the tank?

Try as I might, the fittings just will hit my tank, & to my dismay, I'd chip the paint on my tank.

& then, the damper seems to be "eating" into the screw head that is mounted onto the "A" frame bracket, making a "cracking sound" when turing left or right.

Any one has any same encounters?

try adding bushing or washers to make the handle bar mount bracket higher and it confirm will not hit the tank. that's wat i did to mine... :)

its not the tip of the damper hitting the tank, its the bracket secured onto the frame that's hitting of tip of the tank..

Wow, surprise after so long, someone actually saw & replied to my post.

No pun intended, bt really, surprised.

Well, after trial & errors, solve the problem for the bolt that's connecting the clamp to the "A" frame.

However, not the handle bar riser mount bracket. Thou now covered up the tank, it'll still hit the tank bra.

Thomas, you said by adding spacers or washers to that area, care to share some pictures of how it's done?

If im nt wrong, also have to add on, onto the "A" frame there, just before attaching the rotating clamp? So as to compensate the height difference?

&, wont it affect the damping effect, as it has been R & D, it shld function the way it used to be?

Pardon my tons of queries...

Also, dragonforce, Im gona send in mine for a full overhaul.

Andrew says it's an old model & due for some servicing.

Hi bro, just got 1 set Hyperpro from motoword, damper+bracket +installation, total $550. Great for cornering! For straight road, feeling a little harder while turning. Still under test run. May update the test run result later. I am riding vtec III.
