Moto Guzzi Stelvio

The Stelvio should make a nice competitor for the popular BMW R 1200 GS Adventure Tourer, and although the styling of both is something of an acquired taste, the Stelvio has a modern, hard-edged look that also seems "tight", without all the "loose ends" that seem to hang off BMW's big guy.

 

The turn signals on the Stelvio are nicely integrated, and the bike supposedly has fittings for saddlebags (panniers) designed right in to the frame in the rear, which is a nice touch. The top box rack appears to be standard, and many other accessories should also become available.

 

Note also the Stelvio's two-piece seat, which may indicate the possibility of lowering or raising the seat for the rider. The passenger seat looks relatively comfortable.

 

The Stelvio's engine is the new Moto Guzzi 8-valve 1200cc engine, also used in the new Griso (Thanks to S.B for this info!).

 

The bike uses upside-down forks and radially mounted front brakes. The front wheel is a nice 2.50" x 19" Excel spoked job fitted with a 110/90 ZR19 tire and the rear is a 5.50” x 17” fitted with a meaty 180/55 ZR17”. It appears that Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires are used.

yup .... but i think the price a bit on the high side . I was expecting it to be below $30k . Pay a few more thousand , u can get an ABS BMW GS1200.
