while waiting for SSDC lesson, i saw on the tv at the recep area there how to pick up the bike when its on the floor

the tv taught me this:

1) when the bike topeng already, dont worry :) put the side stand out first (assuming it's lying on its right side and the side stand is on the left)

2) then go to the right side of the bike, back facing the bike, hand grab the bike from behind, use your butt and back and legs to push against the bike and push it up ...

hmm.. don't really understand. back facing the bike? how?

it's like you're squatting with your back against the wall then you slowly push against the wall to stand up

Lessons:

1) Dont panic. Panic make you cannot use brain

2) Dont dream on the road :faint: ...

3) Look at where you're going and your own bike ... dont peep at others one :dot:

actually if u reach CL 2, the instructor will teach you 2 methods of getting the bike up from ground. 1 is more on leg muscle and the other more on arm strength (my personal feel). The method described on tv...never try before....hmmm....

SSDC bikes are very heavy cos I also from there. But honda bike is nice to ride thou. My height is even shorter than u gals...I only 157cm. So dun wori k.

i'm only 158cm less than 45kg.

once i fell from the bike. my bike was on the ground. one instructor came to help me. i asked him the method to lift the bike up on my own. he told me 2B don't have to lift the bike on our own. :( there are many instructors around to help us. i guess he thinks that i have no strength to lift the bike on my own. so no point teaching me.

i did try lifting the bike up myself but i can't. i'm worried.

if not enough strength and not done correctly can be harmful to the back... for even guys those not so strong one using brute strength can hurt the muscles... last time army learn bike like that lor... pain pain...

try frostb3ar's method... should be easy for ladies... hold the bike by the crashbars and heave up with one leg slightly more in front of the other, once the bike is off the ground ur body weight shift backwards and use the body weight to push up the bike... ur slightly forward leg will help u push the bike up with ur body weight... :goodluck:

Wah. Instructor really power. 2B no need to lift the bike on your own...

Once you pass and get the license and bike, and happen to drop your bike in the carpark, even at 4am in the dead of night, DON'T WORRY!!

Someone will magically appear and help you to pick it up! :dozed:

The "impossible power and energy to do impossible things" is called adrenaline.
