i bought the vtec1 thru one of the ex-owner here.

 

Yday, i just serviced my bike. Engine oil changed, oil filter, wheel bearings for front and rear, changed K&N Airfilter, rear disc brake & its pads.

 

Today, i jz flushed the coolant and trying the Engine Ice from Unique. The fluctuating rpm needle when it came to a stop is no more with the Engine Ice.

Btw, LordDevil, check the coolant system is check the water pump and etc right? hw to check whether it's working? or muz go bikeshop?

ic. not all seller are honest. to check the water pump, open the radiator cap and throttle. if the water pump is working, the coolant will be suck in. u can check the radiator cap for sign of wear out. spoilt cap will result in poor cooling effect. since u flushed coolant already. the water pump should be working fine if not the mech will inform u. imo, engine ice is not as gd as maxima and ww coolant and is more ex.

wah must have spent around 300 plus plus previous owner did not take care and just sell it to u so irresponsible. hopefully no new problems coming up..

yes that is the choke. if it never affect normal operation, can give it a miss. choke got a free play.

Its best not to use car engine oil in our wet clutch bikes. Just and advice. Car engine oil got this friction mods(not sure if its the correct name),this will affect your clutch system.Car engines does not have wet clutch.

 

cars DO have wet clutches, just that the clutch plates are encased in transmission fluid.

[Q] Hi all! I just want to enquire abt my spec 1. How much would the bike shop take if i sell it off? Mine is FS plate.

 

Would it be advisable to sell it off to someone or bike shop? I've only used the bike for 7 months but i intend to sell it off due to seldom usage cause i've got my wave to ride. The bike is still under hire purchase. So i need u guys advise if selling to someone is a good choice or sell it to bike shop. Btw, i still have 3yrs and 3 months installment.

[Q] i would lk 2 find out issit normal that the engine sound kind of different when cluth in & cluth out. I am riding spec 1.

 

I noticed tt my cluth gt too much freeplay, i tried adjust to the max but it still almost the same. I changed a new cluth cable le.

 

I notice that my cluth does nt spring back as smooth & fast as those spec 3 model. Performance wise still gd. Pickup gd.

 

Would lk 2 find out wat is wrong with my cluth.

Help everyone... I'm riding a brand new Spec III and I've been waiting patiently for my next pay to install RaceShield on my bike to protect it from scratches and whatnot but lo and behold!! Today I discovered 2 scratches on my rear end!!

 

They're on the plastic just beside the passenger handle thingy. Omg... :cry: I'm so depressed!! My bike is an original grey/gunmetal colour and the scratches are black and white so it's pretty damn obvious!! I'm quite the perfectionist and was considering replacing the whole rear unit.

 

Would Boon Siew have an original replacement tail section in the same colour for me to purchase? If I think I cannot live with the thought of the scratches there I was thinking of replacing it and IMMEDIATELY installing RaceShield. No delays.

 

So would anyone know if Boon Siew (since it's the sole Honda dealer in Singapore) have that EXACT PART AND COLOUR?? I can't live with the fact that my bike is cosmetically marred!! :cry:
