Time to change if its the maintainence free type. Do be sure the mechanic checks your rectifier charging rate output before putting in a new battery.

Battery life is cut short if rectifier is not charging proper. If your bike is more than 5 yrs and above...best to have grounding done..it contributes longevity to the battery

In fact, I had it replaced with a new one when my bike died on PIE on a rainy day

 

Now I'm using another brand, what dunno "FB" from Japan, according to the mechanic at LAB.

 

So I'm thinking the old battery if just throw away damn wasteful. hehe

Clutch cheap cheap only, lever holder + mirror mount only $40..

 

cost of lever depend on what brand you buying..

 

Brake pump is the expensive one.. i lugi a lot..

but by upgrading to 16mm one, braking feel is totally different liao..

 

i once see a spark135 with R1 brakepump, tried his brakes, damn jiak!!!

he must have very sensitive fingers..

no lah.. power is nothing without control.. what for go fast but cannot stop fast??

 

before i upgrade to 929 one, my stock pump IMO, really CMI.. muz "deh" until lever meets grip then can e-brake, tried bleeding a lot of times no use..

 

feel better after changing to 929 pump, but of cuz not enough..

 

once tried stopping from 140kph with the puny size brakepump of my ex 125z.. scary!!!

Yes...beside Yusa...FB is a pretty good product and has been on the market just as long. Careful though...plenty of Choing ones too. a friend of mine Yusa from MW was screwed in less than two weeks of ride..I also kena one from YL motor.

 

Do monitor your new battery..the water may be deeper than you think. If it fails on you again...better have the rectifier checked..if its ok...does not me the problem ends here..the biggest of headache may come...your alternator coil..if down!...its $$$s! The mechanic of it is that, the alternation provides alternating current to the rectifier and the rectifier regulates it to dc to charge the battery..that how they work as a tie up.
