How to know whether is it time to replace the clutch cable? For me my clutch change is always very unsmooth, but when i ride my fren super4 it's so smooth.. I juz change my clutch plates, any advise?

(A) Its hard to see signs of clutch cable going to snap,normally it will snap at the soft metal ends. Make a habit to change the clutch cable a 1 or 1 1/2 years. Depends on how often you lube the the cables. I always carry spare ones coz during my vespa days,i really learn my lesson.

 

Here's a question from me. Recently i've changed my endcan to Leo Vince. When idling,at traffic lights the rpm sound like its hunting(not stable),blip the throttle and becomes stable after afew minutes it becomes unstable again. I'm using fake silencers btw.

 

One more question,i realize that my bike peforms better on sunny hot days compared to cool nights. Its the opposite when i was using stock endcan. From what i know carb bike peforms well on cold weather due to cooler air that contains more oxygen compare to hot air.

[A] you might wanna do a carb wash and tune your carb..

 

not necessary cold air is good for fuel combustion.. in SG we need more cold air is because our climate is hot.. for a good combustion, you need a good combo of cold and hot air..

anyone installed foglights for their superfour.

 

currently i riding a spec 1, like to install the foglights for touring useage.

 

I know that the foglight are using 2 X H3 bulbs 55W.

 

Will the foglights spoilt our bike? is it useful for touring? which brand is the best?

[A] there are many types of fog lights to choose from..

 

more well known brand like Hella is quite reliable..

you can try Sunshine plaza, Mustafa or some car accessories shops..

 

which foglight you buy is really depending on your budget..

if budget no issues, i recommend Hella Micro DE HID.. best!! but price for a pair should be in the $500 range..

cheaper can be as low as $25..

 

just remember when installing, wire thru a relay and switch.. dun on it unless necessary..

most ppl mount the foglights on their crash bars.. you can always find alternative ways to mount them..

for me, i would try the radiator area, as it's a higher location then mounting on crash bars..

Hi, anyone able to advise me which bike shops offer high price for bike they take in, reason I bought a coe paid til 2017 super4 verS last year Oct and had not been riding it for more than 200km as I bought it on impulse due to I going to change job and thought of buying a bike for transport. But my new job had given me car allowance and I decided to keep my car. I had paid extra close to 3k for replace & repair on the bike. I need info. on bike shop as I had stop riding for close to 20 year and not sure which bike shop offer good price for used bike. Thanks in advance.

Its from a FZ plate spec3 about 3yrs plus.In good condition n i m leting go because i had just bought a pair of gazi for my super4.So now thinking to keep it or sell it away.

Weeks back was ridding from 2nd Link to 1st Link with group of friends, on the way to JB go into road block and got into some problem with the M'sia police. Wanted to pay them off on the spot but maybe is mess ops that's way the police did not allow us to pay off on the spot, but was assure that the fine is RM$100.00 and when we go to pay within the last day of the stated date we will be able to get 50% discount.

 

They demand to see our road tax and one of the rider did not bring along and ends up getting a ticket without any amount listed on it, few days later went with him to pay the fine and was told total amount is RM$100.00 and it is possible to fine up to RM$300.00. :angry: :gun:

 

Just a friendly advice for all riders going over to petrol, bring along your valid road tax and insurance before you got rob from the local police again.

 

Also wonder is there other riders got the same problem or other problem with the local police when in there? Please share...

Highly not advisable. Not only will it be illegal, it sounds awful. No difference in performance.
