Sure Bro. I bought Deauville cos its shaft driven, less maintenance and also quieter then my S4. Also as everyone have pointed out its a sofa on wheels! Can't agree more on that point.

Where about in Thai are you looking at going to?

Also what kind of spares will you be carrying? Perhaps we can even share cost of these spares if our travel plan doesn't clash!

I hv a Deauville, rectifier, voltmeter, worshop manual, fully serviced bike buy next weekend.

If your bike is fully serviced prior to your long trip, the spare that i hv shu be sufficient for our journey, to cover the next 10,000km.:thumb:

Where about in Thailand will depend on number of days planned.

1 wk= south Thailand.

1 mth= north Thailand.

How many days do you have in your plan?

Rear Brake

http://www.hondaofbournemouth.co.uk/part.aspx?part=5925

I couldn't find the left side, should be the same as the right front brake.

hopefully this is the things u r finding.

Thanks 013,

i m still searching for the left caliper piston seal parts number.

2002 Deauville's front brake design is similar to 2002 Black bird. They share the same brake pads but not too sure if they share the same piston seal's parts number.

Clarifications are needed to ensure if 2002 Deauville front caliper share the same parts, both left and right caliper.

Both Deauville and Black bird uses combination braking system by Nissin. From US site listed below, the Black bird right caliper, which is the caliper combining the rear brake, uses 3 difference parts number for respective piston. On the deauville, on the other hand, the left caliper is the combine caliper, thus may be similar to Black Bird design. confirmation is urgently needed to be sure.

Putting the wrong parts into the caliper seal may compromised safety and braking efficiency.

Hope to find the answer soon.:)

hi guys, does anyone know where i could get the whole set of nt650 fairings replaced?

someone knocked over my dad's bike. even the side panniers cracked...

You can try the following for new replacement parts:

FJT or Eversuccess.

Last option is Boon Siew.

If u cant find it at above places, Fiber glass shops can provide repair option.

Posted #1176 above.

Happy searching.

Thanks for sharing, Bro.

The NT700 you own in Dec 09 is the '06 model or the '09 model??

Any difference between the two models?

Or the '06 model you are referring to, is the NT650??

Pardon me for my ignorance.

Thank you. :)

I salute you all for helping Deauville owners with their questions. The group meetups had obviously fostered friendships.

Some Deauvilleans are outstanding in this forum for their contributions. You all have ignited my interest in Honda Deauville.

Heh, I might be converted to ride one and become true blue Deauvillean !!!:)

Something similar was sold at Ah Boy shop.

Its the old model Givi aluminum base plate.

Much bigger and stronger then the current plastic base plate.

Not too sure if he stock that old model plate.

If you are in town, just pop in and try your luck.

But, modification is required to fit into your bike's bracket.

Not too sure if its worth the risk of paying for something that may not fit.

Good luck.:thumb:

Thank you for the recommending but I prefer the original one which shown in the picture, more durable. Cos my current one which is modification one and now bended due to the force of the wind.

I rather goes for something that's worth for buying...

My 2 cents,

Every bike designs have their pro and con.

Deauville can provide “two up” tour with lots of comfort.

She has the great option to wear the best 17ins front tyre in our market.

Most tourer that can provide this kind of comfort comes with 18ins front tyre.

I was wondering why other makers are not putting the popular 17ins on their tourer.

Engineers know 18ins rim provide better stability. However Honda had done a very good job in designing the Deauville's front rim to provide the stability of 18ins into Deauville 17ins rim. The mass of the front rim is enhance to increase the gyroscopic force towards 18ins spec. Thus providing ample stability for touring, handling “two up” in highway and country roads are very sweet.

17ins design also increases the options of putting much better choice of stickier front tyre.

Especially in sg, sticky and fresh 18ins front tyre is not easily available.

The best point on the Deauville. Honda designed it as a safe tourer.

If you like sport touring, pls look at other options in the market.

Deauville is not designed to be a sport tourer

If you are safety conscious true blue tourer,

Deauville is the safest tourer money can buy.:thumb:

Hey Bro

Just something to share with you cos 2 months back I also dealing with this whole mono rack issue. Singapore no one carry new already and unless you order from Mah motor (Givi dealer) and they charge something like $280 just for the rack. So I went online and found someone selling from UK cost 85pounds and with shipment comes to less than S$210. SO I bought but shipment never arrive, but good thing is seller is honest and claim his insurance and return me my money.

So in the end I went to Chap Lee who refer me to 298 or was it 299, that shop at Jalan Besar and they modify old Givi monorack frame and fix it for me. I also bought their conoco box as well and paid the whole thing for S$210.

So I would suggest you get the modify rack. It is also very very sturdy and strong, best part is no need to wait for long shipment and not to mention higher cost.
