My experience with Brembo brake calipers was even worse. The thief made off with both front brake calipers on my S4 Ver S. Apparently, it was a syndicate effort as the Brembo brake stocks went kosong islandwide.

Mech told me its not possible to just switch over to nissin then. Something about having to change the rotor disc and the forks.

Took me and my mech 2 weeks to track down 1 brand-new unit (Forgot whether it was the right side or left. Some kupkia racer bought 1 side and the other side was for sale) . Made do with 1 front brake caliper for 6 months before I was able to get my hands on the other one. Had to pay a premium for that unit as the shop was unwilling to sell 1/2 a set.

Reverse-bolted my Brembo brakes from then on. Also installed a surveillance cam on my favourite parking lots just in case.

The mention of "Brembo" always caused me to cringe. Can see "$$$" flying off...

I hope that I can help your findings;

finally i cancel the deal that sell both my bikes.

because:

1. i never sign any document

2. i never take even 1 cent deposit.

and something i feel strange:

1.what country police need to buy 2nd hand bike?

2.if whole bike need painting to white colour, why other bike shop not shining condition bike can not, but only mine can?

and after so many buyer bargain price wif me, i decided both bike not for sell, to keep both same model bike also good for me, i love this bike too much, and if anything need to repair, no need rush to spare part shop.

and this export buyer give me the deal condition makes me angry:

1. tow my bike first.

2.after 2 days (monday) do transfer.

3.after transfer give me chq, not cash.

my condition is: pay first(cash), then transfer, at last tow away, buyer not agree, so cancel deal loh...:cheeky:

for me, i think: this buyer may cheating: tow first, then take out some parts, then tell me bike not in good condition, ask me tow back by myself. or wait long time give me chq, or chq jump out, or b4 transfer something happend, i need to pay responsibility as im the owner. all above possiable things if any happend, how?

now celebrating not sold out my both beauties.

pls don push up my selling bike post, let it drop down to bottom.

Finally got my Deauville back from the shop.

Main culprit appears to be the hardened seals on the front fork. Its spewing oil onto the engine and radiator every time the bike hits a bump on the road.

Mech also opened up the head cover and check all the seals just in case. He replaced 1 seal on the cover and two other small ones for the screw. Bike good to go for long ride now.

Can't wait for CNY to come. Planning to go for whimsical trips like going Malacca for chicken rice balls and Mersing/Kuantan for Salted Fish. :cheeky:

Total is $373. Fork repair is around 1/2 of the costs. Main culprit seems to be labour costs.

Why? You wanna set up your own repair service?

I would be 1st in line to get my bike serviced at your place. hah..

FYI, I've seen a remarkable improvement in my mileage after the servicing done as mentioned in the previous post. From 15.47km/l to 17.40km/l. (Calculations done after a full tank-full tank measurement.)

BTW, I met this nice fellow riding a white 700 at the PSA PPT motorcycle park. He stopped to chat with me regarding my bike. Told me his nickname in this forum but I couldn't remember (too shag out after a 20 hours shift).

Hey, its me! I am the dude riding the black deauville.
