guys... i felt sumthings wrong with my rear brake.. so when i go check it out, the mech said the pump faulty.

my friend who help me bleed also said the pump may be faulty.. so any one has ever fix their brake pump before???

 

i don't know if this is effecting my bike movement, but i feel like it's like choking on movement..

i scared the rear brake close pump didn't open up back.. than mean, i'm moving with my rear brake closed..

EJ is our residence GSR doctor... hehehe! Can visit him to get MC for your bike... also a day off for yourself because you can tell your boss that your bike is sick and need care and attention from you. Haha... just joking.

 

On serious note, EJ is really a friendly guy and always willing to help. I really appreciate and admire his kind of attitude! Cheers Bro! Have a nice day recovering for watever you're having that makes you on MC.

 

Back on brake topic, I do notice the "shreaking" sound from the front brake which initially when my bike is brand new.. it doesn't have. Although it is just a small matter... my previous bike phantom TA200 also have such "shreaking" sound when applying brake and it is more obvious when I am coming slowly to a halt... so what is this "shreaking" sound and do we have to pay attention to it at all? Or is it a tell tale sign of trouble coming ur way? Please advise people.

yea. a lady driver cut in into my lane on cte the other day. too close so can only jam brake. skid and roll on the expressway. my slider broke. lousy equipment extreme sliders.

 

abrasions everywhere. lol. but lucky to be alive with no broken bones

cyrix: thanks for the well wishes! having a slight fever and a nasty sore throat. and to make things worse, my wife made spaghetti today. with this sore throat, i cant eat that in peace!!!

 

pie: dont worry i've serviced my rear caliper before. all you need to get for me is brake fluid. other things i already have.

 

iceduck: if i'm not wrong fuel tank cost $900++ from guan hoe. but i doubt so they have it in white as the 600s dont come in white. as for the sliders, my motovation ones broke off too when i got into an accident 2 years ago. good to know that you're ok though.

i was riding in my lane which was extreme left. closer to the right. lady driver stopped. came out to help. claiming she didnt see me when she filter and say she stopped cos she saw me skid and fall. actually say she help me to fix my bike but when her friend came down, change her story say not her fault and claim insurance.

Most impt, did you kiss her car? If no kiss, a bit difficult leh...exchange information? Call up your insurance co?

 

Got MC more than 3 days? if yes, it is TP case already.

Lucky enough that she did not cook Mee Goreng or Sambal Pedas food for ya... hahaha... maybe she thought spaghetti can be eaten by sucking it one strain by a time ... haha.

Very true indeed. Our GSR parts are damn expensive... really not worth to crash our bike ... but Sh!ts happens... furthermore lady drivers or taxi drivers is worst than seeing TP on the road... 100% MUST avoid them.

 

I really feel for you bro... hopefully you can claim the Sh!t out of her insurance and make your bike become new again. I have heard of people doing that... purposely add more stuffs to their bike and claim from the party's insurance.

 

Nevertheless, you can first go log a police report... then hopefully can also claim for $$$ for injuries caused from her.

Report to police no use...no action will be taken unless got more than 3 days MC...if you self skid and report to police and TP come across the report, you will be given 9 demerit points + $200 fine (If not wrong).

 

That is why when in an accident, need to kiss any part of the other party. (Not asking all of you to kiss kiss hor, best if can avoid accident). At least got proof that such things happens between you and the other party.

 

Talk to lawyer for your case, they can advice if its a winning/losing situation.

Woah ... Actually, I didn't know that making police report will get demerit points from TP. I was thinking that he can make a report to TP whether or not if he got MC more than 3 days. Isn't that it should be? Any accident on road should be report to TP if it involves injuries to any parties?

I think if iceduck were to bring this up in court, the lady driver can simple act blur and say iceduck self skidded becos her car does not have any direct contact with his bike. Unless, iceduck appeal for witnesses on the scene... but highly unlikely becos it happened in CTE... most people just zoom pass and heck care about accidents except for taking down the numbers for 4D.

 

Anyway, I'm noob on these as I have never met with any "major" accidents before... *touch wood*... I hope "Never" will be my best friend and stay with me till my riding days are over.

They change the law a few years ago...It is more important that you inform your insurance regarding road traffic accidents. Be it major or minor. Please do so within 24hrs.

Yup I agree with Razi & Cyrix that "physical-contact" is important for u to have a case... Which part of the "physical-contact" also equally important.

 

If not u will get fine and points from TP if u reported to them

 

To my bros out there, pls take photos of any accident before moving anything... provided if u re able to do that & safe to do dat. Lastly very important also to get a contact no. of any witnesses if available...

BT016 is newer design and to replace BT014.

BT021 is for touring..

 

For me i would take BT021 as i travel alot...

Unique selling BT021 at $405..wheel balancing and change of wheel bearing = additional $$..

actually the cisco officer who was the first responder advice me not to make tp report cos 6points + 200 fine. but i still report anyway cos i have witness who say she actually agree to pay for repairs and medical but change her words once the friend came down and told her no contact with me means cannot claim. hope i can claim her jialat.

Actually nothing wrong in kissing backside. If it is justifiable and the person in front is wrong, you can always claim. If not, the person at the back will always be at a losing end. A lawyer is needed to make the claim that the person in front is at fault. How successful you claim is will depend on how experience the lawyer you engaged for the accident.

 

An example that I can think of it a car in fornt jam brake from 80 km/h to 0 km/h. I would not think that you will have enough reaction to stop in itme. It is not fair in this case to claim against you.

 

Anyway good luck in your case. Worry about yourself first. The bike can be repaired later.
