On the chain protector, there is a sticker which state the tyre pressure. It also state our tyre brand and model. But they are in Japanese.

Let me translate those :

Front Pressure:

250 psi (single rider), 250 psi (with pillion)

Rear Pressure:

250 psi (single rider), 290 psi (with pillion)

Tyre: Bridgestone

Model: BT014

It is for reference for stock tyres. If you have a different tyre, then the pressure might be different for different tyre model.

you can read japanese??

Hi all

I just crashed my friend's gsr last 2 weeks.

Here's what i find out if your bike is in total loss

The insurance will only pay you max 20% of your OMV value (listed on your COE log card).

I have wrecked the GSR and luckily it's to a near total loss. And let me assure you it's very expensive to repair.

Do pm me if you need more info on the damages, claims etc.

So guys ride safe.

This topic has been discussed before...:)

But since i myself dont know how to use search function, so i just give u the extraction from the manual

Solo riding Dual riding

Front 250kPa (36PSI) 250kPa (36PSI)

Rear 250KPA (36PSI) 290KPA (42PSI)

This is meant for stock tire.. others should be + - lah...

If you cannot convinced someone Just Confuse him!! hihi

so is pump how much?

Hmmm I think the below by cyrix a bit confusing. Let me rephrase but actually means the same thing.

Without Pillion:

250 psi (front), 250 psi (back)

With Pillion:

250 psi (front), 290 psi (back)

Tyre: Bridgestone

Model: BT014

Please remember that when "humping" opss....pumping tires, make sure the tire is cool. This is because air expands when hot (especially after riding). You will need to compensate about 10-20% more, I think. This means if you go and pump 250 at petrol kiosk, you maybe only pumping at most 225. Best to pump when it is cold.

As for me, I always pump "with pillion" settings, the bike feels lighter and better control. Not to mention fuel savings + less wear & tear hehehhe.

hello everyone, just want to find out if anyone of you here fixed HID to your gsr4/6? im also awaiting for my gsr to arrive so can join you guys...

So far I know only one fella who fixed it....EJ....you can PM him if you wanna find out more.

Sure keep a look out for this thread to view what outings coming up.

Anyway, rare bikes always expensive to repair.

u crashed ur friend's gsr?!?!?

hmmm, is self skid at low speed, the damage won't come till total loss... so either u skid at high speed or kiss ppl vehicle backside, causing the front fork to cave in and damage alot of stuffs...

Quote: "I have wrecked the GSR and luckily it's to a near total loss."

So it haven't total loss yet? If so what is the quote to repair it?

ur friend is using what type of insurance? comprehensive, second or third party?

Change to aftermarket brake hose will solve the prob.

As for you issue with suspension. Most of us feels that it is too soft. You can adjust the suspension to your liking by turning the knob. Changing fork oil / spring will help the bounch further. Changing the fornt fork assembly may eliminate that fully.

Feeling shocks on road.....Only one answer. Its a Suzuki. Try a honda and you will know why.

hey thanks, already change to SS hose but the ssshhh sound still there...

adjust suspension by turning the knob? I do know the rear is adjustable but as for the front can meh?thats mean to say my fork oil need to be change after prolonged period of use cos i really feel kinda hard? my ride is bout 34K mileage liao...

all that you said is true and i do it too.. but bear in mind that the tyres square off in the centre faster..

actually both the manual and tyre-indicated pressures are the same. they dont go higher than 290kPa. manual?? got.. but lazy to search my comp for it. haha..

right at the top of each fork there is a tapered knob. use your spanner to adjust it. there are 7 rings on it. the more rings there are the softer it is if im not wrong.. come down for the meetup this friday then we'll help you with your bike. can ask questions also. no need shy..

ah, suspension wise, u can guide them where to adjust, but u cannot tell them this setting is good this setting is bad..diff people diff style of riding, diff feelings...some might feel it 'tight', some might feel it 'loose'..hehehe...

like mine, i lowered my front suspensions.. and its at the fourth ring. some might find my setting not suitable for them... and i dont even recommand azrme to try my settings...

if it square off in the center that means you need to do more corners to make the side even ... hahaha...

Actually, I have been counting how many corners I have made.... from my home to my work and from my work to my home, most of the bends are left cornering... wonder if my tyre going to be uneven on the left side.... time to go find more right bends to shape the tyres up ... hehehe...:cheeky:

Anyway... good night bros!
