The thing is. How does one determine how dirty that filter is? I may say its 100km or even that its just 1mth old. But if its dirty its dirty..... Plus an additional $$ would get u a brand new 1 with the filters still fresh and oiled..

btw guys, i need some help here.

 

the ignition cover. i manage to take out one screw.

the other screw i wasnt able to. it is like "freewheeling". seems like no thread etc.

 

wondering how can i take out the screw in it's current condition.

Haha this one normal. I also experience this. So my method

for the free wheeling is that I try to stuff in ya finger nails between the gaps while unscrewing the screws. So anyone got better methods? Where to get it change ar

hi fellow GSrian ,

 

jus gotten my gsr today , nice and nervous ride...long time never ride a 400cc after my 2A in 2006 , still trying to get use and hope to get pointer on the maintanince...previous ride ..phamton doesnt have so much time to take note of...:cheeky:

 

one thing is the temp...when i riding back ...it is ard 80 plus to 90...wat temp is tat ?...i scare over heat issue...hope can get some answer over here...

 

i also search thru the forum for duplication of the key as i only gotten one key .... i saw from one of the page can duplicate from guan hoe ..but need to buy the key tag and bring to other key shop to duplicate the metal part....the post is quite some time...i jus wan to know is it still valid?

 

or is there some other place tat i can duplicate as well...pricing??..

hey bro, cuz they key also comprise of computerise system so its abit ex to duplicate it.

 

Regarding the temp issue, 80-90 is normal.. u need to watch out when it goes almost to 100.. normal riding is 80-90, when traffic jam ish 92-99

the shop beside ah boy regina do it...

i do it for 80..

Dun worry about the temp....its normal. The fan will kick in at 95. As long as the Overheating light does not goes on, you are fine. One reason is because last time you ride class 2A bike no digital temp indicator rite? So now got number to see scared already hahahah.

 

For me I did one spare key but no chip inside Less than $5 hahahha. Coz I believe no need to keep so many extra as bikeshop holds one and when I finish paying will get that one with my 'dog tag' also. So if I were to make, I will have 3 at the end of the day hehehe. Anyway its preference. No need to use the tag number. They will pair the key to your bike for the programming. Nowadays dunno how advance already. If you see, you will get scared already coz its that easy to make the dup key.

But for me i wun be scared cause GSR so far neber been jacked or parts stolen in JB before as well as singapore.so far forums have been quiet the past few days.:sian:wat happen all got work to do is it?

if looking into injecting performance into the gsr,wat do i have to do bros? change pipe? tune with dyno or tekka? or chnage parts into aftermarkets?
