On the contrary, there is no such term " 2nd Party fire and theft ". There are only 3 terms used in motorbike insurance ie

 

1st Party Comprehensive

3rd Party with Party & theft

3rd party.

Means if biker skidded, he can claim the repairs bill against the insurance company. If 3rd party n theft he has to foot the bill himself.

having say that, there is also "excess amount" attached to 1st party insurance. Let say the excess is $750. the biker had an accident through his own fault and the repair bill $5000. the biker has to pay $750 andf the insurance co will foot $4250. For 3rd party n theft, as the name suggest if the bike is stolen or destroyed by fire, the biker can claim the market value of the bike.

yup... still working the same place. but i think if i meet up with kaozie to get the balancer will be better. then can replace mine on the spot and trade one for one.

can choose which insurance to take but may have to top up cash to upgrade the insurance. when i got mine i had to top up $300 to get the comprehensive insurance... if your bargaining skills are good then can probably get the bike shop to give u the upgrade for free

If u r talking abt separating insurance and bike to save $ it wun work, this is because the insurance co normally quote bike shop lower rates. So u LL has to go for the package deal.
