Yo bros! Help needed man.... my bike seems to have a very perculiar problem... when i shift up to 4th gear... upon reaching 5K rpm, i will suddenly feel a kind of resistance(lost of power).. upon twisting the throttle more.. the engine starts to rev higher... and suddenly the power kicks in.. damn scary! The weird thing is... this only happens on 4th gear! Is this some sorta ECU problem or fuel problem? Any bros any idea what's wrong? I'm still running in my engine and have only clocked 1100km... =\ kinda disheartening to encounter such a problem... sigh...

that happens when u slowly throttle at gear 4? meaning u throttle halfway till 5k rpm then got resistance, then suddenly while u got back the power?

have u done ur oil change recently? if the prob is persistent, do go back to the shop u bought from n c if can change the part that is faulty if any.

lets hope nothing serious happens here.

'soft' run in: EO & filter change at 80, 1000, 2000, 3000 or thereabouts.

don't rev more than 5k rpm or thereabouts.

don't go faster than 90km/h or thereabouts.

why so much uncertainty? because the technique varies from person to person,

shop to shop. no hard and fast rule here, just find some method that suits

you and keep to that..

hard run in:

about sliders, most of us are using motovation or equipment extreme ones.

I have a PC3 fixed on my GSR600.

1st hit was 260km/hr

2nd hit was 262km/hr

3rd hit was 272km/hr

I looked at the speed.... coz thats why i test it..if u test yet never glance at the meter, might as well u dont try right...

No harm done...this is just a thread... peace out...

dude, you seriously got those speeds? o_O

i'm not trying to put you down or anything, but it sounds real miraculous

considering the stock bike can only hit 225km/h. not to mention that this is

a naked bike we're talking about.

some speedo error here?

there's usually a -10% variable at that speed.

but really, you need to add some serious ponies to jump 50km/h. a stock

z750 (read: extra 150cc) can only push out about 240km/h, max.

what else did you do to the bike?

vendeta>>>

good to know it works for you.

just keep up the regular maintenance and you'll be fine.. :thumb:

think that was A-style. from the pics, it was nice. have yet to see for myself.

Yupz agreed wif u... A Style can reshare?

I think that is normal when u re in high gear but travelling at low speed... If i'm not wrong each gear designed to be traveled @ certain speed... in other words, u are not advisable to travel 50km/hr @ gear 6...

dude, you seriously got those speeds? o_O

Hmmm... for this one no comment, cause mine @ 220km/hr 6th gear, rpm @ 10k... so still got another 4k before reaching red line...

Btw anyone can help my friend get the modified header? The RXZ one... Whats the bikeshop name @ JB? and whats the price like?

Thanx

Seriously if u say only can hit 225km/hr, then this 600 is sucks... i ever try 200km/hr and there are still alot of power to go... i am not surprise this machine can hit more then 250km/hr

Well, if it does appear, good for all the 400s.

But, one word of advice: before rushing over to buy it, take note that the Scorpion cans have a funny problem:

http://www.suzuki-gsr.co.uk/index.php?topic=881.0

Also, I'm kinda scared of short cans.

This is the problem a Laser end can can do:

http://www.suzuki-gsr.co.uk/index.php/topic,425.0.html

Siko, I do think its possible.

Even with a +/- 10% speedo error (which I have eliminated! MWAHAHAHAH!), a 600 can achieve speeds he quoted, albeit with PC3 and a few mods.

Check out this clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2KrX02md3Y

When the camera is on the GSR, take note of the speeds at 06:50 & 07:37.

He was hitting 237km/h above and the RPM is not even near the redline yet.

If I recalled right, this guy only had an aftermarket end-can, aftermarket filter & PC3.

Recently, I went riding with Wak Dean & Risz the night after to clear the excessive carbon buildup due to my disastarous first attempt at synching my throttle bodies with an homemade tool.

5th gear at about 10K+ RPM, I was able to hit 200. That was not possible before. I didn't push further coz my front was starting to lift up in the crosswinds 2nd Link bridge has to offer (no windscreen).

I was still on stock filter (although a new one), new plugs (NGK Platinum-Gs at Puffer's advice), TPS calibrated & TBs synched. I had a PC3 but with a stock Dynojet map off their website (which is not that good) & of course a SpeedoHealer to correct my speed.

So now, maybe plus a few mods (cut-out airbox, K&N filter & a custom map), might even push that potential up further.
