hi ashley. my advice, just push the bike in and roll out a new GSR. then later can regret.

haha sorry i was just joking. yup, if you were to push in your spark, you tend to loose quite a bit of money. try getting someone to takeover your spark. :goodluck:

White GSR FBC9XXY is on the road... finally

Please add me in, north side rider...

guidance and advise from senior bros are greatly appreciated... hehe..

I jz approached Universal Motor for a quote of GSR400. The sales guy, Michael, said he is the importer of the GSR400.

I was quoted $13K for the machine without IU unit and insurance. Free gift is helmet and bike cover. That would work out to close $14K for OTR as my age is 23 and still under 2 years of driving experience.

Is the price too steep?

i got mine for $14k OTR. but that was in dec 2006. perharps you want to go down to loois, most of the riders here got their bikes from there. but not me though.

burning smell definately not normal... unless you're doing burnouts or donuts :cheeky:

u just have to get used to the weight of the bike until you're more confident in pushing it around... even until now i'm still not too confident pushing the bike backwards so as far as possible i try to sit on it while reversing

Prices depend on age ,type of insurance and COE. I think most important GSR400 being a PI bike need aftersales service. So far Loois has proven they can do it. Should not pay more than $13800 with 3rd party n theft Insurance for age 21 and above.

anyway, i miss wildcard.

all right, i guess the place that I asked just now was too overpriced.

do Loois accept trade-in?

2 questions:

1. Did it rain at your place before you rode ard?

2. Did you just had the oil changed before you rode ard and noticed the smell?

well.. it was raining in the morning, but i collected the bike evening time. quite dry already.

and about the oil... i got the bike from the shop, pump petrol and rode... didnt noe if the shop did change or not. the odo was 1 km when i collected, does it matter?

the smell only appear occasionally.. notice it when i just stop the bike from running to idling (ex. traffic lamps) for awhile then gone....

other than that, the bike is superb... haha

Could be either.

The exhaust collector (where the 4 headers meet) is a bit of a rust trap. Water or oil tends to collect there. When heated up, it causes the water or oil to boil off, leading to the funny smell.
