where is the good place to service bike like plugs n air filter at a good price?

service air filter? only if you have an aftermarket one eg.: BMC, pipercross, etc.

else, you'll need to buy the OEM paper filter and replace.

plugs, find out the prices first.

what's more impt is to make sure that the workshop doesn't wreck the

threading on the engine block.

personally, i'd recommend planet & unique for these kinda simple service jobs.

good prices, reliable workmanship & great aftersales service.

planet is along the row of shops at ubi near TP HQ.

unique is among the flatted factories near singpost building.

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

So u say Ban pple for 1 week if they use, If u use, Ban urself?

I said not just about vulgarities.

Starting a flame war with vulgarities and insults thrown all over.

And yes, normally I'd stay away from the forum for a week if I decided my conduct is unprofessional.

Personally, do your own servicing.

I'd never recommend changing plugs at a shop unless you are willing to leave your bike at a shop for more than 4 hours to let it cool down.

Why?

Never change your plugs when the engine is still hot or warm after riding.

If not very careful, gonna wreck your spark plug threads very easily.

Obviously, the bike will be hot when you drive it up to a bike shop.

yah but DIY, especially with lack of experience, will also have a high probability

of wrecking the threads. WTFish!! hahahahah..

ah chong got fridge lah, just put the engine inside first. don't worry.

usually bike shops will let ur bike to cool down 1st mah...

furthermore, wrecking ur spark plugs thread is ok, as long as the thread at the top block cover doesnt cross thread..

if got alot of free time, i think i prefer changing myself, but with the free time, i roam ard more is better...hahaha

"Damn, who die and make him the leader?!?!?"

Posted

ok...

im stepping in too... (as a junior rider...)

i think this has got to stop somehow... its NOT healthy for e group...

Dzal, please stop all e use of ur vulgarities... esp when its used at our own fellow riders...

u 1st posted abt e accident of e ducati rider, only cos u wanted to bring to our attention that a fellow has passed away, and that ur upset abt it...

but did u notice that e post came somehow abit out of nowhere??? n from e way i read it, it seems like ur trying to suggest that someone here is responsible abt it... (go back n read that post if u dun get wat i mean...)

of course we're all upset abt e loss... but when u ride, u muz be mentally prepared for accidents... be it big or small...

n since u dun join us often, u dun understand SIA well often... n thus, u dunno that he dun mean wat he said... he meant no harm at all...

but that doesnt give u a reason for u to hurl abuse at him... especially we're all fellow riders... n GSR riders some more...

its e same feeling u share for that ducati fellow... a fellow rider... put that here... to us...

n yes... u did apologise... but perhaps u wanna consider editing ur post???

apology is cheap if u aint sincere abt it... im NOT suggesting that ur not sincere... but anyone can juz say sorry... it dun cost a thing... it wont hurt u... BUT... wat im trying to say it, e damage is done... so wats wif e apology???

but we should all let e matter rest... moving forward, try not to use such strong words... even if ur really angry or upset... try to refrain from those words... DUN REPLY at that moment... cool down... be a gentleman n say things adults do...

n i noe ur capable of all that... being a nice gentlemanly GSR fellow rider...

aside to Kaozie, he already apologised...

let e matter rest... we may not always like wat we read here... i was really mad at his choice of words too... but dun over-react unnecessary...

advise him... not attack him...

we all need to move forward...

n to royston, enough is enough lah k..

please... stop picking on his comments...

n Wildcard, perhaps it would be better if u could juz tok to us as a fellow GSR rider instead of SENIOR MODERATOR...

juz a suggestion...

n to Puffer n Z^^Kia,

i dunno wat to say abt u all...

haha...

Z^^Kia should be spending more time on his yoshi now...

n puffer should be putting in more effort in trying to remb that "mei mei" (SPARK 135) name instead of showing off ur "temper" k..

its a festive season... we should all be happy...

take care k..

*MUACKS MUACKS*

its juz my 2cents worth of comment...

dun flame me please....

n im begging all GSR riders to move forward...

thanks...

may not be the cheapest.

try asking motrax (motovation), you might get a good deal for the GSR.

SInce im here and free, wanna ask anyone of u.....

at least 1, misbs7. changed to the ermax type.

maybe you ask him?

sudah lah brubber... chill sua... nie tempat diorang, tak boleh menang punyer.. chill it kay, later we go drink tea kay?

brubber apa? hahahah..

anyway, not the case of whose place this is. i'd still like to believe it's a free,

open forum since none of us are paying to be members here.

this means, it's much more crtitical to at least be civilised & courteous since

words typed here can often be taken out of context simply because we

cannot observe the body language of the person typing.

this also means that there's not much room for ego, tempers and attitudes.

what's done is done, and i respect dzal for agreeing to let it all pass as water

under the bridge with an apology. same to all the rest who had the guts to

admit their mistake and post a "i'm sorry" note.

please, give & take, gents.
