Btw, at what speed and rpm is good for soft run in? I think the mech told me not to exceed 4k rpm.. Thats quite slow when travelling in expressway i think..

join us any time. no prob. run in dun monitor by speed. monitor by rpm. for now, keep the rev under 5k shd b good. after the 2nd oil change, can rev up to 6k or 7k no prob. by right, is rev up, then close, rpm down then change gear, rev up again, then close, then change gear n repeat for all gears. but running in on the road dun allow u to do that. so just b careful with ur precious ride.

Yo bros, I realized juz now when coming to work. I follow behind a long trail of vehicle while exiting AYE on a hill slope (Law abiding citizen). And I notice that using Gear 1, while moving slowing and stopping (Clutch out and in + a bit of throttle), my oil pressure light is lit up in a second and then disappear. This happens a few times. And sometimes my bike stall. Bike temp is at 85.

 

The stalling happens a few times already in a period of a month, but not too often.

 

I do not think that this is normal. Do you guys recommend me to adjust the clutch cable first? What could cause insufficient oil pressure?

for me, i also same gear 1 half clutch, i dont squeeze thru traffic. temp till 97-99 .. bike still no oil pressure light and no dieing...

You might wanna raise your idle a bit. Your symptoms kinda similar to Helmy's bike

Does it help? Coz I heard if raise, then after sometimes, it will drop again. Or should I wait for my new 'PIPES' then PCIII it and tune to perfection? Hahhaha. Any advice?

Sometimes if idling drop it may be cause of carbon buildup

Last time my idling dropped to 0.9k rpm. After one visit to 2nd link to clear carbon, it went back to its usual 1.2-1.3k rpm

its dangerous to follow behind a trailer cos its a big moving blind spot. anything on the road or traffic condition cannot b seen. oil pressure light lit up? how's the oil level? mayb throttling abit will help.

 

n just like murinus recommanded, whack the bike. gsr is meant to b abused. n with ur new oil, the whacking shd b shoik...

No lah not trailer.....trails of vehicles....many many vehicle...i follow behind them. Trailers, trucks, lorries...confirm I overtake one...very dangerous follow them...especially taxis

No lah not trailer.....trails of vehicles....many many vehicle...i follow behind them. Trailers, trucks, lorries...confirm I overtake one...very dangerous follow them...especially taxis

anyone has the original 600 handle bar to sell me cheap2?? and has anyone tried using the yamaha FZ1 handle bar before?

Yeah!!! Feel lighter on the bike with the new Oil Change. I guess Maxima Maxim 4 Ultra 5W50 did the trick. My bike warm up also faster than usual. Yesterday at traffic junction, throttle a bit only did not realize reach 50km/h with gear 2.

Only downside is when down gear loud sound...but I like . Will whack this coming saturday. Now no time. Go home also jam...a bit diff to whack...and also dun wanna attract attention from Revo group....their ride fast so no need to challenge them.

cos oil thinner n hence the flow rate is faster compared to extra 15W50 which is thicker. cos it heats up n cool down relatively fast. the only down side is the oil is too thin for the gear box as gearbox shd use thicker oil like SAE 60 n some i heard is 90. but too bad, the bike design is like that. gearbox n engine share the same oil.
