so unlucky.....yesterday my hubby bike cannot start .He says the battery flat(left only 5volt ) due to no charging......call Mah Motor but waited nearly one hour before the tow truck call for towing... Mah Motor says we must pay the towing charge....new bike(mileage only 800 plus n haven't go for first servicing) already got problem....tommorrow then the mechanic will check the bike..sigh... :sian:

Yr hubby's ride is a 600 rite? then the replacement batt should be free. They should just bring a replacement batt why tow the bike back....

anyway, i miss wildcard.

aiyah the service very inefficient.....when my hubby tell them the bike cannot start (battery flat)they ask him to bring to the workshop...maybe they thought the gsr600 is like the foldable bicyle that can put inside taxi bonnet....rather than they come n bring a new battery... they call tow truck to send to them and we have to pay the charges...somemore waited so long for tow truck to call......somemore so paiseh new bike less than one month already kena tow....

Mine on the second day also same thing happen.

Batt totally flat.

But mine is a 600cc.

So LL Guan Hoe also ned to pay for the towing.

Teo Spray tow mine bike but claim from GH.

So i think your hubby should ask his bike shop to

do a overall check.

If it's the Alternator's fault,

should ask them to replace

and also the tow charge !

I suggest ask ur hubby to make noise.

So big a bike shop cannot bare such a small charge ah !

y 600 starting to show problems? jonathan also riding a 600 right? worried coz whatever happens to the 600 should happen to the 400 also..

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

Guys...

It might not be an electrical problem...

When you park, do you lock the handlebar?

If you do, check and make sure you do not spin the key ALL THE WAY...

Mine oso suffered a flat battery before. Turns out I spun the key all the way in to lock the handlebar. When you spin the key all the way in, you are turning on the parking lights which will turn on the pole lights and brake lights. Nothing else will show up on. When you leave on the whole night, sure battery flat one.

If you have a car or knows someone well enuff who owns a car, get him to help jumpstart your bike. Then check the voltage to see if it climbs up when you rev.

Now, I'm rather concerned that some of you guys already sent for major servicing (valve clearances, TB sync, etc). I'm already 18000 km and yet to do much (except oil & filter changes). Think must do something liao...

today he will go to the bike shop to see what's wrong with the bike...

i will inform him to ask the bike shop to do a overall check...

thx bro stsoh for the heads up.. anyway, from all the pics, looks like there's at least 2 bikes that suffered the crack. normal riding shouldn't lead to that kind of stress fracture right? did the website u got the pics from mention any symptoms the riders noticed before failure, or even their riding style/habits?

anyway, touch wood, but say there's a major problem with the bike somewhere, leading to a recall. the 600s shouldn't have a problem because they're distributed by GH, but for the 400s, since they're PI, will looi's & all that do the same service?

no worries currently, Looi's currently doing a better job than the agent. If there is a recall there is no doubt they will help us...

I agree with Swoosh Bro,

Looi's is doing well these's years because

of their expertise in repair and most of all

their service.

Mah only keen on selling bikes.

After tat is collecting installments.

No after sales service.

The best part is when u wanna sell ur bike.......

u will then see wat happen !
