Have quite similar problems...

1) Was at 5th gear, as the traffic gets heavier, i clutch in, change to 4th, release clutch slowli and open throttle at the same time, engine dies off. I was in the middle of the road, so, quickli clutch in again, restart engine apply same technique, moved smoothly.

2) At a junction, from neutral gear change to 1st gear, before open throttle engine dies off.. As traffic light is green already, i qucikli clutch in while on 1st gear, turn on engine and moved on smoothly.

Unlikely due to clutch coordination problems. This happened twice alrd, better go checkup.. Anybody can advise what happened?

A longshot guess would be idling too low. Try adjusting the idiling higher. Another would be engine not cool enough. I'm planning to change my coolant next month.

I'm having the same problem as well with the engine dying off when I clutch in, asked Wildcard bout it and he said it's got to do with idling.

so how do I go about fixing this problem? it would sure help for blur sotongs like me and LOTR :D

interested, but what i know is that h&B rack is welded to bike. issit true?

how much u selling ?

If the rack is weld to the bike, no one will buy H&B rack liao :cheeky: Maybe its too well make that make u think that its weld together

Or maybe u have been riding slow speed too long till too much carbon accumulate till idling also down. My bike idling going lower and lower till it is at 1 than i hit 120 all the way from airport to Yishun one night and its back to 1.2 idling. Maybe carbon or maybe its just my imagination. Worth a try though. 2cts

nope. rack cannot b welded to the bike. if not, how to dismantle? wat type of topcase u have in mind? if u r getting a H&B case, no prob. just weld up will do. if u r getting a givi topcase, u need a base plate to go with it. plus drill hole to secure the base plate to the H&B rack. i would recommand cast iron base plate. selling $80.

wat u have in mind, just let me know then we work it out. if i'm not wrong, the H&B rack can accomodate the change of exhaust. givi rack cannot.

i believe is clutch n throttle coordination. but low idling is a good bet cos when u close throttle, bike cannot maintain the minimum revolution hence, stall.

Fzss... carry on without box.... then u will feel the difference... :p

u no box dun talk so much lah...

It should be only the switch and key set only. Best to do it at where you get your bike. They should have a spare one. Dup another lor. It not ask them to change to a new ignition switch.

You must inform your bikeshop because the spare that they hold now may not be valid anymore if you set to change the ignition switch. They do want 1 key.

See la, get back from KL only this happens. You muz get a reminder keychain like Spongebob, Patrick, Mr Crab or even Gary to remind you.

thanks for all ur advice guys.

Come to think of it i think i tried to engage 1st gear when side stand still down. And for the stalling issue perhaps its idling. now is at 1rpm only. will increase it to 1.2rpm..... now still running cannot whack engine ley... ( but i would love to... )

From Biker's Inc magazine, arh?

USD 360.

For half of that, you can get the Oregon Scientific ATC2K.

Alternative is simply buy a cheap PMP (Portable Media Player) with video-in and get a spy-cam lens (with color) and attach it on. Prolly costs a fraction of that.

Know any place in Singapore to survey these products? I saw the Oregon Scientific ATC2K, not impressive...need more pixels or CCD to have a clearer image. So after the trip can sell off in DVD format hahhaa. With the garmen money, planning to get this. So everyday use it. In accident, it will be my good friend.

If you ask me, it is possible to install anything. As for metal grill on the headlights....... I heard people put on Radiator fins, but headlights..... You DIY, will be the 1st maybe, for GSR confirm 1st one.

As for handguards, I do believe any will do as long as can fit the handlebars. Will need to secure it with brackets of course. I always wanted to get Moose Racing handguards....but no money to import them here. hehehe.:cheeky:
