Imagine while you are riding and passing by a TP stop .... and you let out the super loud horn ... Booooooaaaaa .... then zoooommmmmmm away .... and then kena chase ... and end up hornless ... hahaha ...

Good morning people!

For rpm ....as a GSR400 rider ... I have not managed to even touch 10,000rpm yet ... that would mean travelling >130km/h ... I have only tried to blast along ECP-AYE ... and hitting 130km/h plus but still below 10,000rpm ....

You guys really are speed demon ...

Maybe I should try blasting full throttle at Mlysia once my engine run-in is completely done. Today just hit 1,000km milage ... more to go :D

Cheers and good morning again!

Hi all, where do you put the oil reservoir for the Scottoiler on the GSR? Many thanks in advance and I would really appreciate serious answer. Thanks!

i don't have a scottoiler but can't you just lift the tank up and cable tie it somewhere? there's lots of space under the tank

Did you mean that you have a DIY scottoiler? I believe I have seen people using those little plastic cable tie to secure the oil reservoir above the area where the chain is. Find a place where it will not obstruct or hit the chain. I believe there will be quite a lot of places you can secure the reservoir.

Or

You can try to follow the original Scottoiler installation:

http://www.scottoiler.com/support_installation-guides.asp

(They have GSR600 installation... so if you are GSR400, it should be the same)

I am thinking of creating a DIY scottoiler ... but I dunno how leh ... maybe have to search online to see if got such tutorial ... :p

(Found one thread here in this forum teaching how to DIY scottoiler :))

Cheers,

Cyrix

ps: Project DIY scottoiler ...

*Try to maintain serious note*

Since it is tubular in shape and not that big, I placed it right under my pillion seat. Notice that there is a a concave that fits nicely for the tube/container. Heat up a screw driver and poke a hole there so that u could secure the container using the provided cable tie.

Hi bro, have installed the oiler, placed it under my seat by the side of where the instruction manual is placed.

There is a slot there just nice fits the reservoir. No need to tap it as the seat holds it down nicely.

Any queries just pm me. :cheeky:

Some photos of your DIY scottoiler will be beneficial to those like me who want t learn how to do it. Pictures means a thousand words ... so if you can take photos how where your oil reservoir is and the tubes and where you secure the tubes and the tip of where the oil drips onto the chain ... the more photos the better for people like me who want to learn to diy.

Congratulation for being able to DIY!

Cheers,

Cyrix
