Did a wheelly on my px150 yesterday(3 days into riding). The rear box went in between pillion's leg and he ended up standing in the middle of the road from siding position.

Anybody here can advice me on the footrest. Keep stepping on pillion's leg, thinking of installing one but Ah Joo said that it might affect rear braking.

Sounds dangerous ! Your pillion is lucky he didn't lose his "marbles" !

Luckily he is a tall guy.was moving off on a slope and didn't realise that my leg was on the brake all the time, put more power and release cluth.....

Tell your pillion to move his feet.... Only his heels should be resting on the floorboard... his toes should be pointing outwards... This will give you enough space to safely operate the brake.

Oh and tell the pillion not to rest his foot near the kickstart either....

lol that's a hilarious situation to picture

If your pillion is really short their feet wouldn't be able to reach the floor... thus the need for elevated pegs.

The high idling could be linked to the carb yes... there could well be muck all over your carb... read the tutorial on scooterhelp or on vespamaintenance... clean your carb and see if it fixes the problem...

If not you will need to split your cases... the clutch side seal can only be replaced when the engine is dismantled (hence time for an engine overhaul)...

thanks, got it fixed already. it was a dirty carb. got the jets cleaned too and everything is now smooth. starts on first kick and idles low but steady

best person to answer is probably Piaggio... (duh..)

but this bike is sweet... hybrid of classic headlights and modern body.

ok guys... since nobody knows when its coming in...

I CALLED PIAGGIO SINGAPORE MYSELF!!! -_-

and the person on the phone(malik) said that the probability of it coming in is PRETTY low... mainly because its a 50cc bike..

BUT

considering the END of the PX era.... piaggio singapore HAVE plans of bringing in some of the vespa's new 2008 range( vespa S is part of the 2008 range).

so keep your eyes open guys!!.. it MAY come!!

and when it does, HELL im gonna get one! wee!! =D
