hi guys am new to vespas.was just wondering if you all could help me with something.since AV and after are usually px's though the logcard states it's a sprint would it actually affect payment in terms of insurance costs?eg besides only how old the bike is, are there any other payment fees that might be affected by the model of the bike? apparently there are some px's being registered as GS 150.... :) thanks in advance.

insurance wise....thy will have this point system that detamines how much u have to pay...like if u wanna 2nd party or 3rd party....then the number of yrs u have been riding...and the age of ur bike and the make. sport bike in general pays higher amount.

Hi guys, it has been in my head for quite sometime and i've always been wondering. I've never seen any GT 200 with an aftermarket pipe like the leovince on road before. Anyone here happens to own a GT200 with a leovince or any other aftermarket mufflers? And another question is, does the GT200 has a variety of aftermarket pipes that the LTA approved?

Haha! I was bored and surfed youtube for awhile and saw a video showing a GT200 with the leovince 4 road pipe. It's pretty cool man, a decent bike with a racing exhaust.

I was planning to get a GT200 before i got my VXR200, it was the vintage outlook that attracted me man but i thought the performance would be better for the VXR (due to my stereotype newbie knowledge), not until i found out that these 2 bike are using the same 200cc L.E.A.D.E.R engine and that the GT200 has equal variety of performance parts to replace except for the shock absorbers i think. To me, this bike is a beauty and can also be a beast....love the compartment box with that leather behind for the pillion to lie on. It's truly a modern scooter....might consider to get one end of next year man!

hi friends, wondering if the sparkplug for vespa is same as other bikes, and if any bike shop near angmokio or hougang sells sparkplug for vespa? Dont think i can reach tong aik before the shop close after work. Cant start my bike last night, wanted to change sparkplug, but realise my spare plug is "short" type, not the "long" type my vespa uses, damn~~

thanks in advance :)

wilsonbb... what model of scoot do you have?

PX150's use a short thread plug

PX200's and I beleive some of the indian 150's use a long thread...

Look for a champion N4C, or a NGK B8ES

wow you reply fast! thanks sharpey~

Mine is px150 but uses long thread..and my bike doesnt look like indian's vespa at all, doesnt have the square head, maybe the previous owner changed it. I remember the packaging looks like champion brand, so champion N4C is the long thread?

I changed spark plug afew times before so Last night I thought will be a quick one, but while trying to unscrew the tip, the whole tip drop off :( whats more I realised I bought the short thread instead.

The tip isn't a big deal... just screw it back on....

I'm a bit puzzled that your 150 uses long thread plugs... It shouldn't. Can you confrim this? Eg, take the cylinder head off and make sure that the plug doesn't protrude from the base of the head....

Running a long thread plug in a shortthread hole is a bad idea!

Hey Marciano you can put your IU unit right on top of your glove box. There's a considerable amount of space there where an IU would fit neatly. Mine is on the 'neck' area. The mechanic will have to drill holes to fix a bracket.

on the glovebox? then where u do the bracket for the IU? the shop can do for u is it?

There is no additional payment fee for model of vespa..only age and the cc. Nway the GS150 u referring is the model of the vespa eg, P150X, PX150, Exclusive, LML..its not being referred to the OLD GS Models. The ones that had sprints registered is actually the newer version of sprint with the PX outlook...just my info if it helps u.
