Which type & brand is good?

Just to check which type & brand of wireless card is good

built-in or USB type & which brand.

It all depends on ur usage. Anyway most brands are made in China or Taiwan. As for brands, go for known ones like D-Link, NetGear and even Linksys.

 

Both got pros and cons, like

Built-in cannot upgrade where else USB can port to another PC Easily.

USB can be misplaced but Built-in cannot.

 

 

Anyway it also depends on how good ur system is and the signal strength.

i got myself SMC wireless router and USB adapter.

 

based on my experience, USB adapter is not recognized sometimes, have to unplugged, plug back to wake up the driver.

connection wise, not bad, about 60/70 %.

 

build-in and PCI wireless adapters are more reliable and faster compared to USB which offers portability.
