When i 1st got my spec 3 the idle was roughly 1.3 - 1.4, manual also says that it suppose to be around that range.

Then one day i brought down to one of the bike shop he said "eh ure timing so high ah" den he adjust down to 1. Now whenever i accelerate feels like not enough petrol going in feels like sitting in a SBS/TransIsland bus accelrating hehehe, once it starts to gain momentum den it starts to accelerate the way it used to.

Also when im at traffic light i ever tried like open and close my throttle really quick have that *Vroom* sound but now it has that *VrrVrr* like choking like dat, and sometimes it drops all the way down to 0 on my RPM after i rev like dat den bike dies.

Should i change back to 1.3? Scared FC go up. What are your idle timings spec 3 riders?

the knob for idling, u shd know where is it rite? then adjust urself!! adjust to ur own comfort.

just remember, when u ride, close throttle, the rpm shd not drop below 1k else high chance engine die off due to low rpm. that is very dangerous esp when on the road...

i dunno why but the factory setting for idling is damn high. my spec 3 is also close to 1.5k RPM b4 mi bike shop tune it down to abt 1k. i feel that @ 1.5k RPM there is not much engine braking as it feels as if you are still throttling when you let go of clutch and brake.

but inline 4 engine is a high rev engine. Keeping it for a prolong period at low rpm actually does more harm than good.

went to san fu the other day..

the guy damn funny ..say my idling 1 too high..should be 0.5

he told me class 2 bike also 0.5 isit true?

Setting the idling speed too low also not good, takes a longer time for the bike to warm up. Last time I also have the idea of low idling is better, but it takes longer time to warm up plus moving off is abit slow.
