After some insane touring and track days back when i was in Singapore. I pack my bags and head over to Sydney and was prepared to stop riding until i finish my studies here. Well until a moment of madness made me put down a deposit for a 2005 r6.

but well even though it was a moment of madness, i have never regretted it. The close knit motorcycling community and the fantastic roads have made me fall in love with riding here.

Well its the weekend again, and this time we are heading down the Putty Road to Broke then back to Sydney via the Old Road. There are many good roads out of Sydney like Royal National Park, Macquarie Pass, Kangaroo Valley, but the Putty Road has always been my favourite, probably because of the awesome twisties and the good road surface

About 9 of us met up at Mcgrath's Hill Mcdonalds at 9am.

After getting a quick bite we headed off at 9.30 down to our next stop about 120kms away which is called the halfway house. The ride begins with some nice easy corners but the thing about the Putty Road that will catch someone new to the road off guard is that the corners are pretty easy in the beginning for about 80kms but they suddenly get really tight.

With not much traffic on the road we were able to have some great fun all the way to the half way house, the only thing we have to watch out for would be cops in unmarked cop cars as they patrol this road pretty often on the weekends.

The next section to the next stop is about 50kms of really tight twisties and it is the section where most people come to the Putty for, great road surface and great corners.

We arrived at Broke for fuel and food, and head back to Sydney via the Old Road which is also a pretty nice twistie road, but it was beginning to rain so we just took it really easy on the way back. Our last stop was Road Warriors Cafe.

which is a favourite hangout for many bikers, since it is right beside the old road. The Cafe's carpark is always packed with bikes on the weekends except today though since most of them have already left because of the rain.

But the photo below is what the cafe is normally like on the weekends.

Anyway thats it for the ride today, we filled up at the next fuel stop then head home separately via the freeway.

Way to go Specs. You have made me homesick. I used to live near the Putty Rd till I moved here 7 years ago and it is indeed a great ride. Now I only get to enjoy this trip once every year or so when I return to Oz to visit relatives.

Enjoy the many great rides the Sydney region (and further) has to offer whilst you have the opportunity.

Cheers
