I am sorry but cant help to correct your views about SAF. SAF is important. It is our only tool to deter and defend our soil, and our current way of life. We will not be enjoying what we are doing now without a strong defence force. Sometimes, I guess we just take things for granted because it has always been peaceful. In the 1960s - 1980s, Singapore faced riots, threatened by potential aggressors, as well as many adversaries. Those people would better appreciate why a strong force is a must.

 

Didnt want to bore you guys with too many details. But if you really want to understand more about the need of SAF, I welcome you meeting me up for sharing.

Zam seriously frankly and honestly I DONT KNOW!!!!!....

I only knw if you are before enlisted, you wanna go oversea, YES you have to get exit permit. But NS men one i really dunno. If thats the case then the very first time i travel they could have stop me. Next time just stop me from going out then. Stupid cork system. You want me to inform you. And yet you still let me go. Then wats the point???? If i have intention to leave and never comeback you think i still bother to inform you when i knw you will not stop me at the gate?

 

Next time just make every damn man to stamp on their CORK before they are allow to leave SG. KNN PCB. Cork System.

 

Then every year send the notification for Alert manning and Mob brief 6 months before the briefing. Knn you want me to THINK OF YOU for 6 months? I cant even remember wat i had for last nite dinner.

 

 

The 6 months allows the NSmen to have ample time to prepare himself for the In-Camp-Training. I believe the period of 6 months is given because of many Nsmen feedbacked that there aren't enough time given for them to inform their bosses in their civilian job. Therefore, resulting to disruption to their daily job in the civilian world.

 

I do agree with you guys that although sometimes there are hi-cups, and Nsmen had negative experiences in their NSF days and perhaps ICTs, but there can never be a system that can satisfy everyone. The system may not be the best system but lets us trust that it is a fair system that tries to cater for the general public ya?

Ya la we singaporean boys just like to complaint. I knw you sold your soul to SAF. We all also try our best to do our part. But ask me to remember a "mop" brief in 6mth time leh. Ya la i knw its ample time and also they will send you reminder again in 3mth time. Its like every 3mth you see SAF letter as us civilian will be like "Sigh... sianz wat they want this time...." Kinna feeling you knw Hahahaha.

 

For me im the cannot make it one so i see SAF letter i will be sianz. Imagine seeing something you dun like and its every 3mth leh. You turn SCARED.....

yoz, long time no hear frm you ..... i also wondering wat kind of freaking system they have .... once i rcv a letter to even report for reservist in camp training, then i called them up and was later told to ignore that letter ... really cork up manzzz .... but still need 2 call them for trips more than 24hrs lei ....

But i'm pissed off with the management lor.

 

Had to q up for almost 2 hours for tix. There were 15 counters, but seems to be many lines instead of 15, coz ppl cut q here n dere.

and there were no security personnel to do crowd control at the booths.

 

u can't bring ur own food n drinks, fair enuff if not nobody wanna buy the food there.

But the food n drinks booth very little niah! Frm the time i step in to the time i left, the q seems to be not moving! its like queing up for Hello Kitty siak!

i was dehydrating due to the scorching heat cuz i dread to q juz to get a bottle of water.

Wow, is there a website are feedback area where you can voice out? The aim is the improve their system so that they can get better next year. Btw, I heard Singapore will be organising motogp in 2011?

lots of ppl i see.. watching on tv seems good as well.. but dame sad ah didn't get to see rossi best performance since its raining... its kind of bad raining after the 250s.. i was watching wif friends in Liquid kitchen siak.. LOL!!

i think after u feedback they might put some poles inbetween so it looks more like 15 lines of Q instead of 17 or more. Good question, ware to build the track? i dun think the current F1 track is userableo_Oo_Oo_O

oh ya there is 1 place we bikers can't get on... u know there is a small road like a mini express way in town? speed limit 30km/h. LOL!! near the "Lao Pa Sa"there..
