Hey, Cloudrider, while I was searching for SAS system info, you posted. Thanks.

All the new Vespa is fitted with SAS, from the description, it is the same function as the one fitted on the Mystic, understand it is for envoirnment protection. It has been disabled.

If Mystic is fitted with SAS, then it is not too difficult to disable, just re-direct/dismentle the fuel hose inside the air filter or if you want to reduce additional SAS wt, dismentle all the hoses and re-direct the fuel hose from fuel pump to the carb.

:goodluck:

P.S. : Hope you don't mind I hijack your SAS info to post it on the Scooter thread. Thanks.

 no not at all! Share all useful information. Maybe you can show me or explain further how it is done by redirecting or dismantle the hose.

You are now a well known character at 2nd link custom hee hee Not wanted but well known :cheeky:

No problem at all, the old BMW is very easy to dismantle, just need a chopstick, screw driver or barehand open the air filter (no need to dismantle fuel tank, seat and etc...) and you should be able to see the mechanism inside. It looks complicated to me at 1st but after reading the Haynes manual, it is actually quite a simple device. And if I am not wrong, according to Haynes Manual, bmw introduced this system to pass emission test in American during the 90s, think should be 1992, those pre-92 models are not fitted with said system.

Aiyo, not 2nd link lah, on weekday I usually go to Malaysia via Causeway at about 0930hrs to 1000hrs, almost no Q at all and it is nearer and cheaper to PL's recommended BKT in JB.

This parts are nice, wonder if there's any solution for Vespa. I have been searching and discover that very little technical information on Vespa, guess that cute little thing is just a fashion icon. Just ride and forget about performance, hmmm, is there performance? 13bhp for 150cc... No, no performance at all, better leave it original, anything, just go to PSC, Piaggio Shopping Centre.

Once again, KTM has built a bike for super model with legs like elephant :help:

Kick start ( optional  ) Wonder what is the shiny thing just above the exhaust.

I leave my bike at DirtWheel for servicing yesterday, and install the grill headlight protector.. Hopeful it will be ready by today....

Hi At.MadNess

New KTM 950 adv cost around 30k, not sure about the price of 640 adv. If you get the bike, there are few things that require changing for you and pillion comfort. Fuel consumption is around 16 - 18++ km per litre, depending on your riding style.

Go to Dirt Wheel at Tampines to see the bike, or maybe even test ride. Only black colour on display at the moment :goodluck:

Nice Nice :cheer: 640 in action :thumb:

Ya, legs like elephant to kick start the bike if there is no electric start option. It's no easy task to kick start a big bore Cc bike..

Beautiful, but will be perfect if you replace the top black plastic box with an alu box or do without box and the mirrors are really "outstanding", can change to something smaller?

But it is yr choice. a nice bike is a nice..

Another beemer chooses KTM, think this is gonna be official.

Congrats.
