Hi guys/gals,

 

have anyone tried to remove and resray the entire exhaust header before? is it time consuming? i intend to do it cos there's some slight rust on it.

Sep 2001 - Jan 2003 WR200

Jan 2003 - Feb 2005 S4 spec 1

Feb 2005 - Apr 2006 FZ6

Apr 2006 - May 2006 Vios & FZ6

May2006 - Jan 2007 Vios

Jan 2007 - ???????? Vios & S4 spec 1

Hi guys/gals,

 

have anyone tried to remove and resray the entire exhaust header before? is it time consuming? i intend to do it cos there's some slight rust on it.

 

suggest u go to bike shop and they will send for high temperature spray for u're header...it's better and last longer.

i don't chrome ur header then u no need always keep painting ur header..........

the problem is that most bike shops simply buy those high temp spray u get fr LAB to do it. it's the dismantlin that's tough.

wat u mean bro? the dismantling or the paint part? did you diy respray yourself? care to share on your experience

The dismantling was quite easy...but after the spraying and all that. The fixing back part...its a bit tedious...:giddy:

bro, did u use the original tools? i know the outer 2 on the left and right are easier to dismantle, it's the two header in the centre that's tough to dismantle. i intend to do it on tue.

Yupe...exactly...original tools. Take out the left and right 1st...den slowly on the center. Take ur time...patience is the key. :thumb:
