Not worth it if u trying to lighten the bike load & save petrol indirectly.

Not tat much of fuel saving.

If for track-use & huge performance gain, yes go for it provided you have that spare cash to spend.

Thanks for the input. Guess I will save up this money instead and put this rim thingy on my last priority list.

If u wan reduce weight and inc performance, i think a full system exhaust will be first choice in terms of value for money?

can consider air filter also, no change in weight though. Tyre also a positive change.

after market Air filter changed, performance Tyre changed.

Exhaust i am not willing to change to full system because i am having a legalise end can. dun want to waste the end can by buying another full system.

Actually once all weight reduced le, i will start to install side box to prep for touring... :)

Ahh. Maybe can get e front part for ur endcan? Of coz i dunno if got legal de?

Up front most of e things u ve got it so if wan more performance will be $$.

If u going to install side box, it will increase weight fairly. Consider saddle bags? those no rack type so tat weight is lower. And when riding in sg can easily remove. If mount rack then there will be e rack weight even if remove boxes

Agree. Well depends on wat u wan. I think if buy a branded item like bagster tank bra, price diff wont be large if any diff at all. But if buy no brand tank bra, i think motoworld dun ve?

Some thing i will just go for cheaper version like now looking for tank bag strap type but no rush. (if can double as a office bag would be great) if branded helmet i think both shop sama?

But i think e salesman (dunno name) at motoworld great nice la. And now got new female sales at e smaller branch. :)

Correct me if I am wrong... Xiao_Vintage87 saying he went to HKL to have his Dyno run after installing PC5 and they (HKL) said his injector spoilt due to the a bike shop applying too much current while cleaning.

1) Dyno at HKL

2) clean injectors (nvr disclose as not nice right?)

I am abit confused by all the inputs lei

This is also what I gather from his post. It is NOT HKL who screwed up his injectors.

Yes, end can is good enough. Full system (usually 4 into 1) would also sacrifice your ground clearance. Definitely not suitable for touring.

My view as a "regular touring guy" is that hard side panniers are better than saddlebags. This is from a security and stability perspective. Saddlebags are not lockable. When you make pit stops, it's better to have panniers so you can just walk away from the bike without needing to lug those bags along. Panniers are also more stable at higher speeds.

My set-up is a top box (55 litres) and a tail pack. This is more than enough for a 5 day/4 night trip for me, riding solo. If I were to tour 2-up, it would be top box and panniers. If pillion can't travel light, perhaps use the tail pack and a tank bag.

Hope this helps.

Just shared on e 2b test thread. So share here too.

Ride carefully ok? Science has proven tat 1 of e most common cause of bike accidents is when riders get their "new" bike (can be 2nd hand) or bought a new accessory/parts for their bike. this group has a high chance of "touch wood" accident during e 1st leg of their journey.

E reason is becoz these riders r excited and emotionally elated with their "toy" and thus caution/alertness r forgotten. So things like forget check blind, spding, cornering too deep, etc becomes forgotten.

For those who dunno, e emotional state of happiness is actually similar to a effect commonly known as "high". Thus it can cause e "happy" person to easily lose concentration, etc.

Ps: which is y it is thought tat it is easier to find a new partner at weddings or other joyous occasions becoz pple r happy. eg: clubbing, weddings, etc
