@ramsnake Cool. ;) Yes. The exhaust clips are of CB400s as I'm looking to get an idea of what sounds best on my particular bike. Thanks for the suggestions of the end cans. I'm leaning toward a BlueFlame anyway, so will likely get one of those. They sound and look good - not too disimilar to the stock exhaust, which I like. Thinking of mail ordering from the UK as I don't know of any local suppliers.

I find the easiest way to hear the sound is actually on the overrun. So, while you CAN still easily hear it when gradually increasing the revs to say 4k, a quick burst to say 5 or 6k and then release the throttle, will allow the sound to be heard without the engine roar and induction noises. Most of these exhaust clips invariably do exactly that to show off what it sounds like under load and at higher revs, so it's easy to hear whether the rattling sound is present as the engine speed falls. I've paid close attention to the engine sounds as I'm looking to get in touch with people who have this exact problem. I haven't found it on many, but I have heard it on even much older CB400s like this '95:

...you'd think Honda would've addressed something like that if it had been present in the model for 13years+ ;)

@StrongBow - Really hope you DO take it to Honda. We're counting on you! ;) Mine is out of warranty, but if it was under warranty and had this rattle, I'd be taking it back quick smart demanding it be addressed. You're in that position, and are probably one of the few people who can get it diagnosed at no cost...do it for the community!! ;)

As for the oil, I'm using 10W40 as per the manual. I was tempted to put something thicker in it, but then I thought again. Mine has low km, and the engine internals should all still be WELL within spec, save for maybe some valve clearances needing tweaking. If it had 100,000 on it, I'd be considering something thicker to 'fill in the gaps' so to speak, but that shouldn't be necessary on a bike with now 11,000km, even less so with yours!

25 x 14litres = 350km then reserve ? WOOOOAH!

Wow that's really good fc for revo

bro, what about yours?

I'm getting 300km before reserve before, now home to work 4-5km X (2way) lots of traffic lights. +/- 250-260km

k&n + r77

I'm normally getting 280-290km before reserve. If I throttle happy then around 270km. Lots of traffic lights as I stay, work and study in the west.

Not much different from stock setup in terms of fc. My rear sprocket is +2t, 44t to 46t with 525 x chain.

Leo Vince end can + k&n air filter

*oh and I forgot to add, I'm 90% pillioning my gf around. So weight should be considered as well I guess.

anyone knows of the cheapest shop to buy brand new revo on installment? thanks in advance

Just helped chiaph to buy his bike. PM me your hp number and real name and I'll pass you the contact.

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how.

should be normal i guess, mine around that range. I wondering how Boon Siew gonna settle for u? tune the ecu?

U need your warranty card, + servicing with them or authorized dealers.

Whoa then 250-260km is kinda low?

My total weight is around 30kg more than yours. But I guess it's really alot of stop and go? Since you can reach 300km before.

Am considering to switch to r77 too
