hi bro. correct me if i'm wrong.

REVO cold start idling should be above 2krpm, after awhile it will drop to 1.3-1.4krpm to stablise the idling.

shouldn't be idling too low for REVO. if idling too low, will cause it to die engine easily. :)

Hi cabb, wt u said is true.. The thing is the idling seems abnormal as before. W the pipe sounds more on bass tone. It gt me worried. Is there any chance sumthing wrg w the tsp?

When starting the bike or even after warm up idling is still slightly above 1k?

If after warming up idling should be fine, if not try adjusting the nob (flower shape), should be in between your tank and your engine. I hope Revo would be the same, because I'm only familiar with Spec 1 to 3.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks thechosenx for ur advice. Well i had seen the 'flower shape' on vtec but not sure if it has on the revo.. Can any1 verify this ?

Ic.. braided hose installed... Now contemplating on RCS19 or a cheaper brembos from r6... GST money oso nvr get.. haiya...

I'm using the rcs 19 on my honda blackbird..worth the money with the click ratio thing and the adjustable brake pump feel..

Another option is brakes pump sold by equipment extreme, also have the function like the brembos and slighly cheaper too..but during my s4 days, braided hoses and metallic pads for front is good enough. I dont use metallic pads in the rear as i have the tendance to lock up the rear when panic...:p..

Oh yah, revo is using EFI.. Might have a screw to turn to adjust.

Hi all, my revo recently have been leaking.

1: the radiator hose seems expended and seems wet

2: I think the engine is leaking. There are oil stains on the ground after I have parked and there r oil stains on the bottom left of the frame under the gear leaver.

How ar?

I just solved a leak around the same location. It was due to my scottoiler setting near to Maximum. Brought it to mechanic who replaced one of the rubber seals and clean up all the oil build up in it.

Bro, can tune but it is safer to install pc5 and tune... If not haywire... Hahaha... I also newbie... But my colleague all old bird... So I still learning from them... They said better don't for EFI bike especially big bike... For carb bike can tune as much as you want...

Your abnormal sound better bring to bike shop for a check... But don't anyhow waste money if they ask you change things... Be wise and ask others first before spending that money for repair bro! 2cent worth!

hi guys.

Just to check something.

i have not started my bike these 2weeks because of my stolen calipers.

Today morning, i saw my HISS not being lighted up; but i have not tried to start my bike.

Is there any chances of battery being drained finish?

Thanks.:)

According to the manual, the HISS light will automatically stop blinking if there's no action to the ignition after 24 hours.

Anyone can pm me which shop or mechanic are expert on revo? Just avoiding to go any shop then kana con. Ask to change tis change tat but actually no need. Coz i hv a problem of my throttle. Its difficult for me to describe here. I try my best to explain. My throttle became loose. But can accelerate. Only tat the throttle grip is loose when u close the throttle can turn somemore. Example when u accelerate, u turn ur throttle anti clockwise rite. When u close it will turn back clockwise rite. By right when i close throttle it will auto stop at certain point n cannot turn somemore. But mine can turn abit more if u turn it manually. Mechanic says its the throttle cable problem which is wear n tear. Hv to open up the throttle body just to change the cable. I dunno is it true or not. Need to go few shops to ask. But dunno which shop or mechanic can b trusted. Can any of you guys help me? *stress*

The throttle cable tension can be adjusted for most bikes..look at the metal curve end near ur throttle assembly. There should be a size 6 or 8 hex nut..just loosen the lock nut and adjust that to tension he excessive free play.

Hi. Just to check that if anyone encounter their REVO cold-start rpm starts at 1.4k. I asked my mechanic if he could adjust it to 2k rpm and then drop to 1.4k rpm in the cold start. He said the spring inside has been taken out.

Any idea what is this spring???

The HISS will stop blinking after not starting the bike for more than 24hrs. The manual states that if not mistaken.

If your battery is old, it might be drained off. Use a batt charger to charge up the batt if possible. Always disconnect the batt if not riding for extended period of time.

Revo don't have the flower shape.

Hey peeps,

My revo stalls when i clutch in for more than a few seconds. It starts back when i throttle (i.e like a push start since i'm already on the highway).

I've sent it to ah chong who found out the spark plugs went black. Changed to new ones but the problem persists and there's additional backfiring. Anyone knows? Thank you.

I just got the feeling that the "backfiring" was actually misfiring..and one or more of your injectors are stucked open. Causeing excessive fuel to enter the combustion chamber, fouling the sparkplug...

Doesn't sound cheap. Planet also mentioned the injector could be faulty and the price quoted made me stare into blank space for a while.

Yep not cheap..last few years bought one for my blackbird,180sgd per piece...

Another option is to check on the fuel pressure regulator,if the pressure too low it will cause the injectors to "pee" instead of spray..that can also foul the plugs..

In this case..check see if your throttle body has this other end of the cable having the same adjustment..if so, just adjust for more tension. If still cannot, likely ur cable is stretch liao..need replacement.

Hey guys, i find that my biting point is quite near after adjusting my clutch cable near the clutch area. Is there any other area that i still need to adjust?

There is adjustment at right side when you clutch in/out you will see that part moving there.
