Hi brother revorian,

I am the newbie here and also going to get my new baby soon. I have a few question

here and pls enlighten me.

1. When will the new version (2014) coming out in sg? And should I wait this new one?

2. Pls let me know a few of recommend shop to buy New revo bikes.

3. Recommend shop that can do together with installation for yoshimura r77 titinium blue exhaust, recommend Crash bar brand, recommend handle bar brand, and also mirror (original is too Classy), volt meter, volt stabilizer (necessary to put on new bike???)

4. Can I trade in all these original item.

5. What is the basic need and procedure for safety/protection/maintenance for normal ride and also with recommend shop.

6. It is necessary to wait warm up time after engine start for the big bike?

7. How much for the re-calibration fees, if I change the steel host for brake in abs systems. I found somewhere in here that SparkerS1 said it will be expensive . Can happen the abs system malfunction while driving? What type of service will need for abs brake system after sometimes??

 

I may have the a few questions after I got my baby. hehe

This is my own opinion. Dun take my advise only. Hear from others too.

Qn 1. I recommend dun wait for the new revo. The diffrence is only it have a digital meter. Its cool but once its spoil, tats is. Ur bonus also spoil. Hahahahaha

Qn 2 & 3. Go unique motorsport. Most accessories you wanted for your bike they have it there. They can do installment also.

Qn 4. I think cant trade in. You can sell it in this thread or FB.

Qn 5. Safety/Protection: up to individual. If u have money can buy all the suits or boots or arai/ogk helmets etc. No money like me, just normal wear. Just ride safely. Even if u have amour suit if kana cement truck also jia liat. Hahahaha.

Maintanance: For brand new bike have to running in. Milage i forgot how many. Can ask the mechanic or the manual. After running in i just do a basic change of engine oil every 3-4 mths, spark plug every 3-4 mths, oil filter every 5-6 mths, coolant flush abt once a year, battery abt once in 2-3 years. All this depending your millage of travelling are subject to changes.

Qn 6. For me it a must to warm up the bike. Coz the engine is cold. Imagine tat you go for a run everyday without warm up. Jia liat ah your body like tat. It just take 1 min the most to warm up.

Qn 7. Normal braking system is gd enough. Save cost. Change the host? Can go unique, motoworld or bikedynamic. They have alot of accessories and u can compare their prices also which you prefer.

Engine need 4 things to run

1 Fuel

2 Air

3 Compression

4 Spark

Is the engine run switch on, neutral light lit?

Does the fuel pump prime the fuel rail? (you will hear it run a few seconds when the ignition is turned on)

Is the PGM-FI indicator on or off?

Try your spare key, HISS may be the problem

Flooded engine? Open throttle fully for 5 seconds of cranking. Then try to start again in the normal manner.

Slowly read this thread from page 1 lo. Hahaha. For what i know run in is your throttle cannot be constant. Keep up and down. If im not wrong.

The owners manual will instruct you on this. I personally like to use mineral engine oil for 500km, it allows the piston rings to bed in much better than semi-synthetic. Not sure what the factory fills the bike with so I immediatly changed mine.

Better to run in while in an urban area as you will get more stop starting and therefore run in the clutch, gearbox and engine. Keep the revs low but do not labour the engine. Stop engine from time to time to let it cool a little. I ran mine up to but not over 5,000 rpm until run in was complete.

If not you could ask ur mechanic how to do a run in. Try to look at the FAQs and Information for NC42 Revo. There has been some info on how to run in. I think there is. WOW! congrats!
