brought ps3 but router mess up!!

cant seem to online with ps 3 . my router has password set n even thought i type password on my ps 3 it sometimes awhile cut off! 90% of the time unstable . how do i assign my ps3 to my router ??? any 1 has same experince to share ?? pls help.. quite pek chek

hi there, I have a ps3 at home which I don't use.Its my bro in law's.He uses my router+modem(starhub cable) to access net.Seen him doing yesterday connecting to online to show me.Its simple.Connect to my Linksys Router pod 1-4(either one) with your ethernet cable and the other end to your ps3(of course) and you have it.Password he entered to ps3 is the password set on ps3 and not router password.

 

My router has password which my bro in law doesn't have and he still enjoys using net w/out it.Maybe you can try reseting your router and try w/out password then if its okay then set your password again.

oh tks man. spend 1 day fixing this ****. but somehow it auto fix it !! lol....i dont dare to configure or touch it now. juz be good boy play my ps 3 online games....

lol hmm sounds weird, because it is connected via ethernet cable and not via WIRELESS connection so why would it get DC suddenly. anyway maybe it could your cable that is loose or something.If its solved then happy playing :]
