What the speed when you start to switch gear ? My bike currently can only go till 70+. model : wave s

+- 5km/h

Gear 1 - 20km/h max

Gear 2 - 40km/h max

Gear 3 - 60km/h max

Gear 4 - 110km/h max straight. uphill 100km/h. downhill 120km/h.

Gear 4 to neutral at stop.

Done without dragging the bike...

My normal traveling speed on each gear will be:-

Gear 1 - 0 - 20km/h (with pillion)

Gear 2 - 0 - 40km/h (without pillion)

Gear 3 - 20 - 60km/h

Gear 4 - 50- 110km/h

Choose the correct gear for the speed and not speed according to the gear.

In sg? Rebore block means bigger piston as well?

In other words when the term overhaul is used what is usually done?

Polish block, new piston, tensioner, timing chain, anything else?

Any special kits bags you attach to your bike? Wear full face? what riding gear/apparel?

Whats your prep for such a trip on a wave? you carry fuel bottle of something?

You're a real tourer, man... Salute!

nahh man. it's just me with my givi simply e45, nova helmet, with a simple jacket, jeans and shoes.

i change my engine oil and spark plug only for prep. and rest assured, there's a petrol station on the NSH for every -+100km. =)

had my overhaul last week at ahboy. rm1000 inclusive of new original set of auto clutch

rebore block = bigger piston

overhaul is when u have to take down your engine. can be for various reasons.

doesnt mean u have to change all tt parts. i had my overhaul coz my crank shaft's bearing broke = wobbly crank shaft.

woah, thats awesome! but is it reliable? how fast do you travel? using north-south expressway? Scared that the bike might breakdown halfway...

i'm riding wave r, and its quite known to be reliable. if u manage your eo well, the bike wouldnt give much problem.

abt breaking down, its a risk to take. =)

heard can bigbore to 140cc...

Worth it or not..?

not worth in my opinion. fuel consumption is going to increase. and your block head will be more prone to breakage. unless u go for bigbore kit.

So best is to stripe engine and take a look what is needed to change during overhaul..

Just bought a coe ending wave with no service history.. Only dat i feel the bike seems sluggish and only can cruise at 80km/h cant evem hit 90. Guessing dat since its almost 10yrs old and overhaul is indeed due..

Rm1k at jb ah boy? How long did it take? U leave ur bike der?

Hi all,

I've recently took over a wave 125i. I was thinking of servicing next month. As I have not ridden for the past 7 years, I have lost touch on what to take note when servicing a bike, yet a honda wave. Other than EO and brakes, what else that needs to be checked? Any oil or air filters?

Thanks alot guys!

Food For Thought

Bread pudding.

Single light cream is the type of cream most commonly used for cooking. However, this type of cream should not be boiled as it will curdle. Also, always add hot liquids to the cream rather than the cream to the liquids, in order to avoid curdling. Single(light) cream has an 18 percent fat content.

Check ur tire and brake pads. The most crucial.

Next for servicing, EO & spark plug. Cheap2 nia..
