made use of the PH to go in Ah Boy JB service my wave. Needed to change my chain and sprocket anyway, cos the chain came off yesterday, lucky i was nearing a red light, and speed was slow.

Actually only wanted to change chain and sprocket, but ended up servicing other parts as well. Anyway, here are some items i changed and prices, hope can be of reference to bros here.

Osaki Chain Set (black box, gold chain), T.A.P. Sprocket and shaft (Blue transparent plastic bag) - RM75

Shell Advance AX3 EO (the same one you find in shell stations selling for $9.80) - RM15

Spark plug, dunno what brand, din see - RM12

Rear brake pad - RM25

Front brake shoe - RM15

Rear tyre, think its osahi or something, 80/90 - RM95

Rear sport rim, 2nd hand - RM60 (mine is front sports rim, rear spokes, so he say can get me a 2nd hand one, lucky its the same one as my front, racing boy, guess its quite common rim)

Chain lube - RM15

Something else he charged me - RM8 i dunno what it is, cant see the handwriting

Total of RM320, abt $135. Saved quite a bit i guess. Add RM6 for full tank, and RM10 for cigs, saved another $8 there.

Things he quoted but i din bring enough to change, will prob go in next week again:

Rear brake hub - RM110, LAB SG quoted me $110. Need to change cos i change new pads, after 3 days, the screeching sound will come back, see my earlier posts.

Loud horn - RM45, SG abt $50 i think

Rear left foot rest - RM35, LAB quoted $30. the footrest slanted down liao, so need to change the whole thing, cant only change the footrest

Front brake pump - RM80, LAB quoted $75. Mine can literally pull in the whole lever, see post on top.

Gantong and coils set - Good ones RM160, normal RM90. No quote from LAB. Mine leaking oil liao, so prob time to change.

Grips - got RM18 and RM35 ones. Saw some coloured ones at RM35, looks quite cool.

Overall i should say prices are quite ok, ok cos lah, compared to SG prices, and service is quite good. Will prob go in again to get the rest of the said items done up.

From what i know, they are open on Sundays too. Sat also ok, unless bros need to work on Sat.

Any bros interested to go in together to get some things done up? Have lunch also. Bring wifes and gfs along also if want to.

dude, reckon you have to provide which year your wave 125 is also as there is the facelifted and pre-fl due to signal light relocation and some changes. S and R model also differs for the head cover..

hi,

im riding wave for past 1 yr plus.. lately got prob with engine.. cant electric start, cant kick start also.

i have to go to 1st gear and throttle then can start. but once i stop moving will engine will die, unless i keep moving for sometime then wont die.

anyone knows the problem?

Depends on what coverage insurance you are looking at? And you could just call up for a quotation

Hi Guys, A Quick Q here.

Hope Seasoned Wave Riderz cn assist.

I'm a Newbie on SemiAutomatic Bike

Yesterdae Nite aft a whole dae of Heavy DownPour, I started my Wave like usual.

Aft ard 5-7 mins of WarmUp under Shelter, i engage 1st Gear, Bike Jerked abit & Dies off.

I then reStart again on Neutral Gear. only this time i play wif the Throttle a bit.

I realise that i can't crack up the throttle, only thing can do is throttle abit & slowly Bike will increase in Idling, a bit too much Bike will Die.

I then tried to increase slowly until OverRevved, but no matter i shut off or slowly closes the throttle, Bike will still Dies off.

When i kicked in 1st Gear, Open throttle almost automatically Bike will Dies off.

When i Open slightly & Hold Bike will RevUp, But its like its Heavy 2 MoveOff, even when I'm off the Bike, so lesser weight.

Tried again this Morning, still the same, so dun tink its coz of the Rain

Nw i'm wondering whether its the Clutch that has wear off.

I dun know how 2 check for Clutch Wear&Tear on a SemiAuto Bike.

Pls Assist Me.
